I need a cpu tech or something...

My vent is driving me crazy! I'm ready to just smash my cpu into the wall.

I had them replace several things... Before I put the cpu into the shop I could not hear out of my right ear piece, and no one could hear me in vent.

I do have a headset...

Now my problem is that when I key up. People can hear my foot steps and my in game sound. It's really loud to them.. I can turn it down really low and I cant hardly hear it, but they can still hear it. If I key up when someone is talking it blows there ear drums...

Anyone have any idea what in the hell is wrong with my CPU?

If you disconnect your mic, do they still hear the footsteps? If so, it doesn't matter what you set the volume to, it's pulling your output line as an input.

Is this a desktop or a laptop?

XP or Vista/Win7?

Without a mic, if you open up sound recorder (start, run, sndrec32)(in xp, not sure if they kept/renamed it in later versions) and record, while playing the game, do you get a recording of your in-game sounds? If no, it's a vent setup issue. (Also test sound recorder with a mic, to make sure it works at all) If yes, then your sound in general is set up wrong somehow.

I have to go do actual work, but post back, I'll see what can be done.
