Suggestions in imbuing a Dragon Slayer

I have a non-imbued exceptional radiant scimitar with the following:

Dragon Slayer
HML 60%
DI 40%
Damage 100% Physical

I play as a sampire, and this is a good weapon for Greater Dragons. I have some guildmates with 120 Imbuing, and so am pondering what would be two good properties to imbue it with.

HSL comes to mind, but I use refresh potions, and stamina does not seem to be a problem.

Swing speed would be a good one, so I can hit just a little faster. My stamina is 157, so I generally dont' have too much of a problem with swing speed.

I sometimes miss on the GD's, even though I have 120 Swords and 36 HCI. Perhaps I should get HCI on the sword, or maybe Hit Lower Defense?

What would YOU do with such a weapon? One thought is to not imbue it at all so it will last forever. But I think it would take years for the weapon to wear out of imbued, especially since I will only use it when hunting dragons.

One hit and you go below max swing speed, so add SSI. Also you can add 2 mods right now. So either SSI and HSL or SSI and HLA.

Thank you. So SSI is an important mod. Why choose HLA rather than HLD? I do wear mace and shield glasses, so have HLD 30 already.

I think you'd be better off going with a daisho for a dragon slayer for the Feint special. You'll definitely need SSI and HSL with either one you go with.

I am not comfortable with using the feint special. How long does it last, and how do you know when it has ended? I tried out a bokuto dragon slayer that I found a while back, but it had no HSL, and I could not maintain a fight for long with it.

One problem I also found was that when I went to feint I got the message "need 30 mana". I only run with 60 mana, so that means that with that weapon, I could not rely on feint.

Perhaps I'll see if a friend can put HSL onto the bokuto so I can start to learn more about this special move. I use evasion alot in GD fights, timing it just right. Perhaps if I could alternate feint and evasion, that might be a winning combo for these GDs.

(using the second person pronoun generally)
If you're fighting 1 or 2 dragons, enemies, go for a daisho. If you're fighting more go for the Scimitar.
Fighting more than 1 GD at a time isn't adviseable though.

Drat, that bokuto is nice - HLD 30, DI 52%
However, it is "too old" to be imbued.

Oh yeah, far too weak for a real dragon tool. But I want to use something to get a feel for using feint. Maybe I'll take my swords of prosperity to an ogre lord and see how long I can linger just alternating feint and evasion.

At 1.25 secs, on every 4th hit, hit Feint again. With Feint I don't miss Evasion.

That's exactly why you choose HLA over HLD.

You may want to consider something like a Double Axe. I personally use one that is:

30 DI
30 SSI
Dragon Slayer
Max Mana Leech (62 ish if I remember)
50 HSL or HLD (depends on the foe, when I make the Axe)

As long as you get the first double strike off, you pretty much won the fight.

Probably the main reason I favor this weapon as a main heavy hitter ( yes I know there are heavier hitting weapons) are the special moves. You cannot beat Double strike AND Whirlwind on the same weapon.
