Was playing with the idea of training an Ozzy pack if i found the stable room.

I think i'll mostly be using the pack as an accessory to my brothers tamer so i wont have to have one take damage they are all for dps.

My question:

Is it worth dropping one out and picking up a 1 slot that can do poison? Like spiders or scorpions? Its just an idea i was wondering if anyone else did something similar.

In my opinion no. A full pack of frenzieds has some of the highest dps in the game. It's either 20 or 25% damage bonus per pack member so dropping one would significantly drop your dps and that wouldn't be compensated for by the benefits of a poison attack. If you want to make them truly rock add discord to your template.

A full pack of frenzieds on a discorded target will drop just about anything in the game, with the exception of boss mobs and greater dragons, in the equivalent of one hit. But if you want to maximize their potential you have to pick them carefully and take the time to train them fully. What you want primarily are high str frenzieds, as close to 170 str as possible.

Alright, good to know, What's the biggest thing you've downed with them? Are they really worth going through the effort to train?

I'm going to either way. My brother snagged a 4.8 greater and we're going to use it to tank while i focus on damage. Hope they are as fun as you make them sound.

They don't work well against anything that has an aoe attack and lots of hit points, anything that will switch targets and has lots of hit points, or in places where there is heavy spawn, simply because they have such low hit points. But in the right context there is nothing like them.

It has been a long time since I worked with a pack, but I have a friend who used them quite a bit for a while, and he did really well with them. For example, in the second ToT event he was killing rune beetles in one hit, one after the other, faster than anyone else could.

The only reason I don't have a pack of frenzieds is stable slots.

And do you mind posting a pic of that dragon's stats and skills? I'd love to see it.

I'd log on and snap a shot but I'm at school in the computer lab, I'll try and get him to email me a shot. He said it took about 700 dragons to get one over 4.2 and then he found it.

I would say that Peacemaking is better then discord for a frenzied pack.

Holy cow a 4.8 Greater? Your brother got so lucky, he probably got the highest one out of everyone on this entire forum. Or at least one of the top 3. I churned through hundreds of them myself and the best I've found is only a 3.4 or 3.6 (I forget). It's still pretty damn good though, 128.x wrestle, 110 tac/resist, 107 magery, 911 hp, solid resists... it often takes aggro away from much higher rated pets. I named it 'A Sugar Chomper' after this stealth archer he killed one time. But it's nothing like 4.8..wow

Well, I found a 4.5 ish with skills within two weeks after they started spawning, and it is the best I've ever seen on my shard.

After looking every known spot at least twice a day for more than a month the best I got is a 4.4



It's not fully trained but should be something like

I want to see a 4.8
