so i tried killing narvey night eyes today but i didnt have very much luck. i can survive until she starts to chain web me at which point i cant do anything except get hit until the web wears off and then 5 sec later i get webbed again and then i die

Maximize your ability to dodge/block her attacks (DCI, HLA), minimize her damage output(exceptional swamp dragon barding).
Get as many HP as you can, and, if possible, swarm her with low level summons to distract her.
I use pixies, but can't think of how you'd do this.

Honestly, I am not joking. If I want to play alone, I'd play Diablo. It even has better graphics and atmosphere than UO. The whole point of UO is that you play with a group.

Talismans of creature summoning maybe? I don't know if they'd work while you're stuck or not, but it's worth a try to see if they do.

I thought UO was to be open-ended and to be played how each individual prefers to play.
And Navrey is a "Mini-boss"
Not being able to solo the Stygian Dragon would be a better soapbox position.

Couldn't you carry a stack of them? Maybe use SS instead and summon a familiar? I'm just tossing out ideas here.
hmm feint might work whats the duration on feint? cause the web lasts for around 8 seconds or so.
i replaced parry with healing on my sampire build btw
and it seems that i can heal while webbed
but its not enough to keep me alive if i get webbed a second time within a few seconds of the first web especially since narvey tends to mana dump flamestrikes on me after the 3rd web and by that time im no longer at full hp
im gona go imbue a daisho and try feint later.

SS familiar would tend to take too much mana, but a Death Adder could be helpful. Corpse skin helps too.
There's a cooldown timer for summons from talismans. Starts counting down when the talisman is equipped, and again after each summon.
About 6 seconds I think.

To be honest I hate games that FORCE you to group. Sometimes you don't have that much time, or you're unable to find a group so you sit there tallywhacking or dieing over and over again. That seems like a really lame point for a game. I'm with Connor, I like the fact you can choose how you play in UO. I'm having trouble finding people to do stuff with in game, so I started a toon which can do things solo. I'd RATHER do it with other people, but sometimes that's not an option...

this is where a greater dragon is quite handy to tank.
Haven't seen anyone solo it so far...but i've seen a tamer and a sampire take it down together without any trouble.

Most definitely soloable with a disco/tamer temp using a g-drag. Takes awhile, but easily do-able.

It sure is. I was down there this morning. Me and my drag had Navrey to about half health, when a fireball casting mage shows up, as soom as my drag was tellyed off and the mage was targetted, it was OOooOOOOOoo and I finished off Navrey. (The mage never showed or I would have rezed him)
The part I don't get is why he ran in to take the honor on the next Navrey.

so i click my ethy to get on and i was webd while mounting
after i mounted i just walked away and the web was still ther and a few seconds later it says that the webs gone and i can move so its like i moved out the way cos of my ethy or somethig
