Sounds legit, its usually pretty common that both sides think they are betting on the same team to win.

My .02; I did not take the bet because being the southerner I am, I was pulling for NO. I knew Mook was taking the Saints and did not want to take the colts.

My take... I realize there may have been a misunderstanding, but you did accept the bet. If Mook had lost, he would be man enough to pay up mistake or not. I realize this is a hard place for Mike to be in. I wouldn't like it much either, but our word is only as good as our willingness to back it up.

Well, he should have been specific, but either way, he accepted. I don't see how Mook can be blamed for the miscommunication on Mikes part. Its clear who Mook was betting on. *shrugs*
The important part is the section in bold. They both bet on the Saints...There should have been a "ok, mike you have Colts and I'll take the Saints." But there wasn't. No such confirmation was stated. It should just nullify the engagement

i didnt know who dat was a football team i guess i missed the memo. You should have made it clear, you read his post accepting the bet than you should have known he was bettin on the saints, everyone else reading it understands this. This is both of your mistakes, you took a bet where he was bettin on the saints as were you. That is the biggest problem you feel like you did nothing wrong, which you excepted a bet from a guy who was bettin on the same team as you and you expect him to pay for a bet he didnt make. His bet was on the saints not the colts.
