How to get older quests to work with a gargoyle?

The Solen quest to be friended to the hive works with a gargoyle until you get done with adding the water to the vats then stops working.

The Naturist is just telling my gargoyle that it's preoccupied by something and should come back after it's done. The gargoyle's quest log is empty.

Is there a way to get the old quests to work with a gargoyle or is this another addition to the won't-ever-be-fixed bug list?

Doesnt that quest finish after you gave some (up to 200) mushrooms to the solen queen to have her convert them into powder of sendings?

That it does. Trouble is the Queen won't do it. The only thing she responds to is being fed a seed which gets a Thank you.

Says He has completed the water task and to return to the Matriarch who gave him the task. Doing that gets him ignored unless he gives her a seed.

Just took him back to the Queen. Clicking on her gets a talk choice, which when clicked on causes her to turn & face him. No other response or reaction. Droping fungus on her just drops it back in his pack.

I did the menu cancel quest choice & he got the Naturist quest without any trouble. I'll complete it if possible, then try the Solen one again.

Naturalist quest worked & a retry of the Solen Quest worked.

Either something went snafu (situation normal all fouled up) the first time, I did something not quite the way the system wanted it done, or the Devs fixed it after I dropped it in that folder per a suggestion above.

Thank you for guiding me to that menu Petra. I had gotten so used to the ML quest menu from trying to get recipes I never even thought of the other menu. I haven't run an old quest since probably 2003 or so.

Got late to this thread, but i have both quests working on a Garg for a few weeks. So, i guess the snafu part is right, in your case.
