Stratics is a for-profit company built on the backs of hard working players writing guides/etc for free.

What is worse, they are accompanied by the avatar of the poster of the initial post, and if they edited their post at all, the advert also claims to be "last edited by''' them as well.

Most likely because people complained. Either way, it was to make a quick buck and to test ways to get it to fit in. I know because wow, as an owner of a big site, I got the offer of the same deals, we just didn't go for it.

But *shrugs* the wheels will turn as they always do. I wouldn't care if it wasn't because there are some really good hardworking people at Stratics and a good community who deserves better.

This has been my complaint since EA dropped its support of the game. Stratics is a voluntary site and relying on voluntary assistance to keep things accurate and up to date. Just look at the ages of the FAQ. It is no wonder why it is hard for new players to get started. Is there another MMO that relies on Stratics for its official forems and player guides?

But I guess Stratics dropping to nearly 1/4th of the traffic it once was has taken its toll, though you still have far enough traffic to cover hosting cost.

But well, if you guys have another "MMO Revolution" up your sleeve, then I hope you do it better this time.

And treat staff better, stop bleeding them out and asking sacrifices.
