introduce new content into the game and bring more bugs and exploits into the game?
You didnt say pretty please maybe next time...Can they bring new content into the game without bugs please?
No...see my previous comment for reason why.Can they bring new content into the game without bugs please?
no wayCan they bring new content into the game without bugs please?
UO without bugs would not be UOCan they bring new content into the game without bugs please?
BioWare games have plenty of bugs... They're great games but they still have bugs... I've found some in their newest game, Mass Effect 2 already. Numerous graphical irks. BioWare makes great games, but to ask them to fix a 12+ year old game? That's a stupid idea, imo. To REMAKE the game, interesting concept.Fixes! Fixes! Fixes!
Bioware were are ya? Come and fix our bugs!![]()
Even if rewritten, any and all software of this size contains bugs.Unless UO was written completely from scratch...there will never be a UO without bugs or exploits.
Perhaps due to the fact that people are tired of them compounding the bug issue by continuously releasing poorly tested and flawed content (especially after being informed by multiple people...) and then promptly disappearing down their rabbit hole to sit in silence for weeks on end.Talk about a biased poll...
This sounds like the people at Mircosoft and Apple too.Perhaps due to the fact that people are tired of them compounding the bug issue by continuously releasing poorly tested and flawed content (especially after being informed by multiple people...) and then promptly disappearing down their rabbit hole to sit in silence for weeks on end.Talk about a biased poll...
Sorry, but 'Ask the Devs' is a joke. 25 questions answered in two months, 10 of which were done all on 12/2/09... Unless there is a dearth of questions, that sad.
Well if someone is going to post a blatantly biased poll then there is no point in even having the poll in the first place.Perhaps due to the fact that people are tired of them compounding the bug issue by continuously releasing poorly tested and flawed content (especially after being informed by multiple people...) and then promptly disappearing down their rabbit hole to sit in silence for weeks on end.

Lol at that first partBut 67.8% of all people know that 83.65% of all statistics are made up anyway...
Anyway, what I believe the rash of strikingly similar threads recently is tending to indicate is: that more people are dissatisfied with the apparent Dev Team stagnation and the poor quality (measured in bugs & mistakes, NOT holiday content) of the last 4 months worth of patches and the lack of interactive communication...or any communication.
But the recent threads posted here on stratics are typically the same people that have been posting the same things over time. Which isn't much of a surprise since stratics here is just like one small group of people out of a bigger portion who play UO. The same group that has been here for years with a few new people every now and then. Granted a lot of threads also seem to concentrate on explosion potions and the EC client.
I do agree that there has been a lack of communication, but it has been that way since the loss of the community rep. in the mass firing. But bugs? I haven't really noticed many new bugs that haven't already been here for a long time already.
This has been tried.. Three times. Each ended in cancellation a few months before beta. (and the last two looked DAMN good pixelcrack-wise for their time)What I think UO needs to do is just start over with a completely new code that they can work with easily instead of working with the existing ancient code. The ancient code where something as simple as changing the color of a robe can create a horrible bug with something completely different, lol. Just an example but you get it.
