I hunt Artic Ogre Lords for residue farming and skill gain. I use lightning strike constantly in vampire embrace form. I am getting low damage 20-90 hp's, and I expected more damage. Any ideas?

How much DI do you have, and why are you using a 100% cold weapon against a creature whose highest resist is cold? The resist alone is probably your biggest reason.

I am using soul seeker because of ssi,LL, SL, ML etc, never even noticed it was a cold weapon, Duh!! You would think that after 10 years of UO I would have a clue, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Wouldn't casting consecrate solve your problem there?
I'm not 100% sure how that spell works but i thought it would change the damage type to the enemy's weakest resist. Just a thought.

That would work but with Soul Seeker not having any di and being cold damage there are just too many better options that are as easy as ever to get with imbuing.

Yeah, get rid of the one you have and start with HCI/DCI/DI. Fill in holes with the remaining 2 mod slots.

Faux, there are a couple of issues it could be. 1. are you Honoring them? 2. are you using enemy of one? 3. from above, consecrate or get a 100% fire weapon. 4. Lastly, the right weapon is Key. personally, I would use a Daisho, and the first hit would be Feint, then LS and Double strikes till death. It should only take about 3 hits.

Oh, and you are in an all 70's suit? 60 vs 70 adds up fast. think about this, if the monter hits you for 100 pts of damage, and you are in 70's you take 30 hp of damage, in all 60's you take 40 hp of damage. Three hits later and that is 30 hp, it adds up.

Edit: additionally, do you use your Evade and counterstrike? They help a LOT in the right situation.

your tactics is 53 and your anatomy is 81........u need to get those both up before u expect any kind of decent damage to anything....i recomend fighting something else until u get those up

I will try some different monsters to try and get Tactics up, not sure why it is stuck. I like the Artic Ogre Lords because of the amount of loot I get per kill, which is great for residue farming.

i dont run 120 on this char because i dont believe on wasting money on a char that will only fight monsters. anyways i messed around with having a oh no im in trouble 50/50 healing/anatomy combo and i didnt really notice much gains there so i am trying this

this works well before a big fight i cast gift of renewal and it really helps out with keeping me alive also attunment help not take much dmg. my guy rocks the stormgrip 25 di and primer on arms tali 20 di ring and brack get me 20 more. also i use a swamp dragon reduces dmg taken. and the ring is a ecru for heavy chugs. get my sampire same way i get my pvpers with all the pots apples and box. for dmg it is very important that you honor each target and cast enemy of one for the bigger guys also not a bad thought to have a few slayer weps/talis in your pack currently i got soul seeker/pixie swatter/dragons end/deamon slayer radiant scimtar (imbued ) and have bird/flame/goblin/bear slayers tali i rock to bump the dmg. with 100%di plus perfection system di bonus plus a slayer plus lighting strike for critcal hit you should have any problem taking anything down. If you're human you don't need the 100 SW in order to cast Gift of Renwal and Attunement. JoAT will do it. Therefore, the 100 points you have invested in it is really a waste of skill points that should be applied to Anatomy (or even Healing). If you're an elf, you should consider turning back into a human.

AOL's highest resist is actually poison at 100%.

Reason for 100 weaving is that gft of renewal will work much better with higher skill most monster that your fighting with sampire arent hitting u for 10 hp more like 50 and the increase is nice making all the skills working much better. a lil nice side note is while this skill runs on my sampire i can stone it over to my tamer/mage to use for getting aggresive tames. I don't think Resist 41 is helping the guy at all, he should pump it into tactics for example...

He should probably more clearly define and narrow down the skills his toon will be using so that they can be more effective.

Resisting spells has been the hardest gimped skill since plate armor got screwed. way back when you sat in fire feilds to gain the skill actully took dmg off now it does what 50/50 against people with matching eval? its horrible. there is too much out there for you to waste skill in resist pots / petals / boxes ( for god sake that was biggest thing resist did was break para ) / apples ( basically mages/monsters worst nightmare ) no point in resist at all. be prepared and use points somewhere eles. I was walking thru a fire field and watching a friend fighting a grizzly and all of a sudden the screen went greyscale...

Damn that was funny ( and I NEVER lived it down with my old friends that were watching it all ).
