Player Town Recognition
--------------------------------​

There will be a meeting on Wednesday Jan 27 to discuss player town recognition.
This is a very preliminary meeting to get input and feedback from Atlantic players. The meeting will be held in the Brit counselor's hall (tram side) at 8:00 PM EST.
The following is an initial guideline and highly subject to change:​

Requirements for Town recognition:

1) Minimum of 5 Establishments in a geographical area that promotes the community of the inhabitants.

2) Some sort of leadership structure, mayor, council.

3) Town Activity, where the town does have citizens around at least a few times each week, usually with some announced meetings or events.

4) Must have 6 months of history. There should be an archive of town records either in game or outside of the game.

5) Web Sites and/or Message Boards, where there is a way to communicate with their citizens, patrons, and visitors.
The web site or board usually gives information about what the town is designed for, who the mayor is, and how people can get involved with the town.​

Benefits:

1) Banner placed in the town, the town has some limited design input.

2) A tome placed under the banner, listing the date of recognition and the town leadership/citizen roles.

In the future perhaps: Gates connecting the town to a central area (perhaps the Luna Fair Grounds)​

PVM Competition

A weekend without football (well, there is the pro bowl, Blah), let us fill the void with a fun PVM competition. Saturday afternoon (Jan 30) at 4:00 pm EST we will gather at the Brit Counselor Hall. There will two divisions, 2 player teams and 4 player teams. The 2 player teams will not be allowed to have tamed beasts. The four player teams will be allowed to have 2 tamed beasts. This will be a timed event; the teams that dispatch the monster in the quickest time will be declared the winner. Please Email your teams by Noon on Saturday Jan 30. Email your teams to [email protected]. Due to time constraints there will be a limit of 6 teams for each division. ​

Thrusday at 9 pm eastern in the Trammel Empath Abbey (Yew bank building), the Yew Town Council will be meeting again for another meeting. The past few meetings we only had a handful of people from different guilds but still learned something new from each.

One of the projects that was brought to us and we all have been working on and will finish up the details this week is the old Wisp Conferance.
At first we all was at a lose on what it was or even ment but after learning more about it it sounded interesting. Even found an old meeting log of one of the orginal one.

The other subjects will be announcments from anyother guilds or organzation events that might be upcoming.

Aswell, to learn from, or to inform anyone who wishes to know the current Em story arcs. Or if you got an item you wish to show off, please come and do so and explain how you got it.

The council is open to all. With all this that was posted about player ran towns. This is a town council for a npc town ran by players that is open to all since 1998. I am sorry for my spelling and confusment on how I problay jump around, but it is why I wish someone would run for mayor so I can be quiet again. =)

Meetings can be boring but it is where ideas come together and things orginal and fun come out of it at times. Besides you may never know who you might meet old or new.

Well this evening Mars will come in Opposition at 8:00 PM EST. Avery would ask all that are able to assemble at the Counselor Hall in Britain. This astronomical event may have a dramatic effect on tamed animals, so be very careful bringing pets.
