Hello there..It's been a while but I trust the readers of this board can give me some good advice.

Once again I am an RP-PVP'er. What this means is:

I make myself as pvpable as possible only a character is going to be doing something in particular in role play and thus has certain requirements.

In this case..I am looking to create a mage with a tokuno feel that is as pvpable as possible..having at least ninjitsu or bushido some where on the template.

My original idea was:

Mage
med
eval
resist
ninja
hide
stelath

Use a mage weapon
pop mirrors
animal form to get away
posion stars for fun
and the usual mage thing and rp goodness as a ninja

Now my questions are..

1) How will this fare?
2) Is it worth even trying to death strike?
3) Should I be trying to use a different sort of defense *wrestling, bushido with a weap, etc * instead?
4) If I went bushido.. how viable is the NS mage these days in comparison?
5) What sort of alternatives to this template, having at least some bushido or some ninja, might help me accomplish some of my goals here?

Any and all advice is welcome!

thanks in advance.

It'll fare great.

I'd try the DS to see the damage but if its crap don't bother with it.

Mage Weapon is fine, I'd go for one as fast as possible and preferably with hit spell, because for a start you can poison every hit using Serpent Form (Great for killing people on foot - RP PvP this is, I'm not talking about Factions or Yew or anything.), Frog Form poisons things that hit you. Focus Attack can (up to) double hit effects (at 120 Ninjitsu).

NS Mages are still very powerful but harder setup imo and not as much fun.

I'd go 4/6 casting.

Other than that it sounds like you pretty much know what you're doing with Ninjitsu. Look up the Ninjitsu FAQ to make sure you know everything else the forms can do for you. (In the warrior forum.)

Ninja mage is definitely fun to play, great surviveability, and your DS damage will be fine.

Bush mage is also fun, but keep in mind you need to have the swords skill not a mage weapon, and tactics to nerve. The nice thing about that one is if you get someone low you can switch to dexer mode and just spam nerve strikes. It is quite easy to get a bokuto to max swing speed, just get one with 30 SSI and hit lightning and you'll be in great shape.

You probs wont have room or maybe not even allowed to but...if you can get enough necro for evil omen with 120stealth ninja and magery...you can hit close to 80hp ds's! (when the person is joat tracked i think, may have been tested on a char with 40 tracking)

The most you can do with a DS is 75 dmg. To achieve this they need to be tracked and you need to hit them with two death strikes prior to hitting them with evil omen.

One death strike with them tracked and an omen is 60 dmg.

Really appreciate the feedback guys, both templates sound like they have alot of potential.

I think because I have all the skills readily available I'll give the ninja one a try first and see how I like it.
