j/k. It is for making magical stone furniture that you can sit on and get temporary buffs like the stone chair of manaregen and the golden stone chair of luck that give 140 luck as a temporary buff.

Yes, its for stone armor. Masons make stone armor and those mallets are comparable to a runic hammer for smithing
