We were taking e-mail addresses but because wow accounts are linked to battle.net accounts people were very reluctant to give their e-mail address, so we switched to mobile numbers instead.
The mobile number is so we can contact the winner of the raffle. Numbers are held in accordance with the data protection act and only myself and Josh will be able to see your responses.

Nobody.... absolutely nobody gets my phone number unless I personally know them (or I can veify they are a legitimate business entity).
Fascinating set of questions, though, to be honest, some of the pages were very obviously structured towards one theme; many of the other surveys I've done in work and life mix up the questions and their themes so one page doesn't so clearly contain one theme.

I left a note at the end of mine, on page 8, you need an option there for people that DON'T compare themselves to other people. I love my life, I think I am a very fortunate person, my husband and I are very much in love, we LIKE each other. I don't compare my car (for example) with that of anyone else my age, or in similar circumstances, every person has different priorities. *Especially* on material things, and it seemed like that question was aimed at that =)
I'm with you on this one. I have enough idiot phone calls from the people I KNOW....I don't need phone calls from people I don't know! How am I to know you won't sell my number to some stupid, "buy my crap" company?

Umm... the game UO doesn't use numbers i.e. Exp points, we use words like "GM" (Grandmaster), Legendary, etc.
My main is Legendary in most things, so I put in 700 for my skill cap (because my account isn't yet old enough to qualify for the 720 skill cap, and I have used all the points on it).
I tried to put GM , but it wanted a number.
Anyways...Good luck with your study.

It is my understanding that the folks running the survey (The OP) asked the Stratics leadership if they could contact forum moderators of certain Stratics forums and ask if they could make this post. I am certain that at least one and likely all of the UHall mods are fully aware of this.

My Psychologist has informed I'm not crazy and the twelve voices I hear, which he is unaware of as yet, all say the same (there are 2 voices who disagree but I do not listen them. they are too aggro for my liking)!!! This Psychologist is my 11th in 3 years and hopefully this one will stay sane.

This sort of study has been done a number of times in the past, but I'm afraid the basic premise is flawed - The behaviour of a player is not influenced by the game they play or the way in which they play it. Rather the choice in game and playstyle is determined by the personality of the person.
For example, playing GTA does not make you violent - however, violent people will play GTA. This is not to say that everyone who plays GTA is violent.

A chance to win fifty quid? What! Did they stop printing money in the UK? Even if it were 50,000 it would still be a waste of time. Why not do a questionnaire on why psychology puts so much importance on questionnaires and why psychologists waste their time on such mickey mouse research. Better to try Disneyland.
