That is what always happens...it starts with one person who wears GM crap trashing stuff. Eventually the other guild gets tired of it, and it escalates...that is what i was trying to elude to in chat...oh well.

Not everyone owns a tamer "to farm silver for when I go to sleep" account....Drop the silver cost in suits to normal UO standards and probally people would not even bat an eye at losing a full suit.

Hell I hit one of the Japanese shards to give away a xmas ticket and saw a vendor selling faction gear back for 5k a piece lol

I'm not saying we don't gank. a 170HP wolf with healing and EP isn't going to get killed without a NS, DS, about 3 AI going off, then subsequent moving shots. I'm just saying we fought out numbered MULTIPLE times.

Actually Chronic (thanks BTW) was trying to give me back my mongbat gear back for free but I refused it. Thinking my gears gone, I was already in stat, and in a deathrobe, nothing really to gain from killing me again, I would be left alone to try to get some input or get some answers but nope…I get res killed.

The upset was never about the gear or dying but more at the lost chance for more undisrupted time for Q & A with an EM who was higher up with actual authority to do something for this shard.

Being pissed last night, I was trying to make a point. By doing something lame & childish, you can mess up a good thing. By doing something lame & childish like trashing faction gear you can mess up a pretty good buyback system. Even though everyone in chat last night made sense (yes Freja and Amanda) after being disappointed last night I fell into that trap and said to myself screw this I’ll ruin everything for everyone.

Some may never get my point of view. Some people don’t care… but people do mention that they want progress for this shard. They want more new people. Back in the day a temp ceasefire or enemies banding together for the common good was the norm. I guess the word community gets tossed left and right here ever so lightly nowadays that it’s just mere rhetoric and doesn’t really mean anything.

I’m lucky enough to get maybe 30 mins here and there at night to try and have a little fun. The last thing I want to do is ruin anyone’s game or anyone’s fun. I will NOT be trashing faction gear. My apologies to the shard.

You hit it right on the head with this paragraph. There are people on this shard that can't see any farther than their noses and then use the "this is Siege, get over it" line as defense. While I buy that wholeheartedly most of the time, I think anything that can be done to bring new blood to Siege, including the temporary de-"hardassification" of some, can be nothing but good news for Siege.

Some take Siege as a license to be an ass instead of just a grown up. Kudos for being the latter, rather than the former.
