Frustrated with RNG....

Tonight I spent 4 hours in the weald working keys for Dread Horn. I killed three Gnaws, got two keys off it. 4 Sabrix for an eye. 2 of the other spiders for silk. And 30 or so Irk for one brain.

It took me 10 mins to have all keys but the brain. It took me 4 hours to get one freaking brain. Sorry.... that just is sorry. Beyond sorry. My frustration level was high enough to make me consider giving it all away and walking away. ARRGGGHHH... Why do i continue to play a game that swings from one extreme to the other with no rhyme or reason?

I have noticed that there seems to be an increased difficultity in obtaining Irk brain when getting keys for the dreadhorn. there seems to be far more female irks lately (those with out brains) *ducks the thrown shoes and other deadly missles*

This morning I got two sets in less than 30 mins... but on average takes 10 irks to get brain.. but tonight 4 hours for one? that is ridiculous...

How long does it take you to kill Irk [on average]? As the problem sounds more like a tactics issue over just bad luck, as i cant believe you killed over 200 Irk's and only got 1 brain in 200.

I've had my fair number of bad luck streaks down there but at least its better then having 3-4 people looking for the briars. If u dont get it takes forever to respawn its a joke. Once its picked up it should immed respawn. I was the only one down there once and i wanted to do 4 runs. It took the briar to over 10 minutes to spawn once after i had picked one up.

The keys at least your killing something for them, running around the weald just looking for a plant to hit the ground is boring as hell.

I think he may just not be killing Irk very quickly. I usually get that key within 5 or 6 irks.

If you read my post, it was 30 irks, not 200. If I can get the Irk alone where its by itself, it takes about 1 minute or so to kill. I didnt mention or complain about the spiders spawning on the ponds when there was NOTHING on the water, and having to contend with them popping up all the time like they were on crack.

What template char do you take down there? As with a sampire i have no trouble having all the spawn on me and just spam wirlwind it even helps to have more spawn on you that way as you heal for masive amounts every swing.
Even a stealth tamer should have no problem, just stay hidden with GD following you and it should mince eveything.

It's not that we're without brains; we're just not as willing to give things up as easily as men. *wink* *ducks the thrown shoes from the other side*

Weaver Mage Tamer... Staying alive and killing spawn is not really a problem. My greater is a beast, good resists, high Str/HP, High Skills, and eats IRK for snacks.

With Protection and orange petals its not bad for the tamer. If i do die, I have GOL going constantly.
