I've been wondering about the implications of crafting say...the wooden armor with runics and getting mage armor/HPR2, maybe tossing LMC and 2 resists on, and enhancing it with Blood wood...

was wondering about the bloodwood as well. That gives ya 12 regardless, just need to add resist power. 14 if ya carry a shield. I haven't had the patience to try to match up resists so thats what I run with, depending completely on the regen.

Talked to Wulf a bit about it but I am having zero luck crafting an exceptional chest peice.

Well with HPR 2 already on the stuff, if you enhance with you can get 12 with just 3 pieces.

I am pretty sure 18 is the cap. My suit gives me resists, mana regen, some mana inc as well. I ran bloodwood occasionally pre-imbuing and just could nto stand my mana regen. My suit is great for when you need to pull back to heal your pets, blow 50 mana ressing someone, or various other mage related things that I can do more effectively with a better mana regen rate.

Speedy, I think your set up could get expensive what with busting on the enhance attempts.

Aye, indeed! But I figure if you're running a stealth tamer like D did, how often ya gonna die!? Especially if you can run 4/6 cast with it and just be a chiv tamer.

It requires 4-5 people, and me really makigna huge mistake to dye on that char. Thats the char I used to bust through MD's lines att he shame harrower
a few weeks back after half the shard got slaughtered trying to bust through.
If I really want to mix it up I pull the mage off and run detect aka TNT repellant.

thats almost what i ran, but i had healing, anatomy and parry with 140+ dex in there too xD

the good thing about that was you can keep controlling your pet as you dont depend on your rehide/resmokebomb timer.

Sounds cool, I run vet on mine because it is primarily a char used for pvm. I have been pretty good lately about not pullling him out unless the other side had pets first.
