No im not quiting, no im not selling my house....Now dat that is cleared up I will be selling off afew of my rares. I have bills that have to be paid and im still struggling a little from when i lost my house in hurricane Gustav. Im not doing horrible but selling a few of these items should help me get over this hump ive been stuck on now for the past 6 months. I would love for these items to stay on Napa because it took alot of hard work to find these and bargain people into selling them off other shards. I will create a list and post it later tonight.

Otis, That is correct. This house is a historic peace of our Napa Community. The Structure and Design will stay the same. This house was built for the purpose of giving back to the community and it will remain in that vision with its runebooks and such.

The Old Give and Take Pub has been moved into the bottom area. Frazer the barkeep is brewing his first set of Ale which should be ready later today and Caryn would be happy to serve you while you sit by the fire and explore the treasures of the many Chests by the fire.

The Function of the Old Give and Take Pub is right in line with the Community purpose of the building. People of Napa can drop of and donate items they no longer need and anyone can take anything from a chest there. It is all freely given.

The pub enjoyed a good amount of use at its last location and Frazer & Caryn are looking forward to your visit.

thats great to hear!, that was the original agreement with the previous owner!, they really wanted the look and feel of the house to stay the same, napa luna landmark!, Gus really needed the deal and nobody can blame him for that, after all he did lose his RL house to Hurricane Guztav and it cant be easy rebuilding what losses that must have caused!!...on a side note

Been there & done differently, so don't give me that lingo please. I have a good idea what he's going through. I know the 1st thing I did was give up my recreational pleasures that cost $ like UO does. (And those pleasures did make me money, but the pay back was way after the initial payout so it wasn't worth the wait when immediate, what little cash we had, went to pay bills, food, etc)

People can do as they wish, it's a free world. Gus did what he did. I just don't agree with it or how it was done. It should of been given to a guild member, not taking a home given to you & making profit off it. If he was that concerned with his bills, he should of thought of that 9 mos ago when he took possession of the home & given up the game that was costing him $9.99 a month to 12.99 a month.
It's done, it's over nothing can change that. GL Gus & hope the new Luna house location & what $ you did get helps your bills.
Glad the place will stay as is too Nabin. Ty from all those people I see running there nightly to find a rune they need & recall to it.

Well just for the record withing the past 9 months my wife left and we filed for divorce. that in itself ran me close to 2800$ In july i split my scalp open with a pipe which had its cost also. In august me and wife decided to get back together but the divorce cost were nonrefundable and now i have the cost of thearpy for her and the marriage counseling for the both of us. I wasnt going to sell the house and sale off my rares but after finding out that the resale rate for gold was a measly .35 a mil i might as well have gave them away. And if you dont trust my word let me know ill upload the pictures of the house i had, my divorce papers and pictures from my accident. I have nothing to hide. Ever since I had that house ive helped anyone on Napa not just in my own guild that needed a few leather, ingots, scrolls, gold, silver, etc. I never took advantage of anyone in this game. Someone asked for a vendor spot i gave them one free, no rental. After the hurricane i only got enough money from my insurance to pay off my loan on my house. Fema reimbursed me for a chainsaw to remove the 70 ft pine tree that layed through the middle of my house. I had to pay out of my pocket to demolish and remove the house. I had to live out of a 14 ft camper trailor with my wife and 2 kids for three months after before insurance paid its parts and i could find a place to rent. So not picking on you Mr Snake but anyone that cares to say they know what im going to I dare them to walk a mile in my shoes.

Where I am glad the property will keep the rune books (used them from time to time myself) and that you got some cash out of the deal to help you IRL - it is really no one's business but yours, and the person you did business with.

I've been in your shoes... and I feel for you dude. Just remember what is important to you and follow that.

Well you know what, I've seen more good come from Nabin and others who work very hard to keep the Napa community thriving than many others who post on these boards or elsewhere who are crying foul and saying bad things. People need breaks, people need money, and I've seen Nabin and a few others time and time again turn around and help as they can.

Far be it for me to speak against a person leaving or using assets in his/her possession to better his/her situation. I've done it myself... what is important here is that 1-Gus is able to situate his life and 2-Gus will return to wreck havoc as he sees fit. It is actually really responsible of him to let the property go to someone who has time and time again proven to have the interest of the community in mind... I know of so many others who would just about kill for that property and rake in the dough without a second thought.

So Nabin is charging the vendors now. So Nabin is rearranging the interior...



He needs to fund his enterprise somehow... I gawk at the number of accounts the man holds to preserve little pieces of Napa in so many ways. Just as I would gawk at Gabe as he worked so hard to preserve Mith (which for the most part still stands). People like Nabin and Gabe, although I do not always agree with their ideal, DO preserve what history is left on our shard.

Believe me, if I had the funds (instead of a mortgage and college fees for my younger son) I'd be on that bandwagon as well. I tried... and some history was lost (Red Eye Tavern) on my watch and I am forever kicking myself in the ass for NOT finding someone else who could take things over there.




Flame me as you will... pfft... I've been flamed by the best. But I think it would do well by all if they would just stop, consider their sins, and move forward knowing that were they in circumstances that required action - action they would take for their own betterment, not for others and most definitely not for pixels...

My eldest is a specialist in the army.... will be 20 in January.
My youngest is a freshman in college.... is 18 going on 30.

My spelling (for the most part, unless I'm ticked off) is due to the fact that I am a published author... if not, I'd not have much money.
