When fighting swoop with my ABC I would have thought with 67% DI, bird slayer talisman and EoO, I would be doing more than 100 damage using a heavy xbow. The average hit runs about 100 but I would have assumed they'd be much higher. My char is 100 archery and 100 tactics.

Occasionally, (maybe 1 out of every 12 shots), there's a hit worth 150-250 and I can't figure out why, or how it happens. EoO is active for every hit.

If you had about 70 bushido, then 1 out of every 12 successful lightning strikes would be a critical hit. That means that the hit would ignore the Swoop's armor and you would hit for 150-250 damage.

If you had 100 bushido, the big hits would then be 14% or 1 in every 7.2 hits

At 120 bushido the big hit percentage soars to 20% (1 in 5)

The lower damage amounts comes from the inherent resists of the swoop.

Gah. I've been going insane trying to figure out where those critical hits were coming from. Thanks for clearing that up.

Is that when you use Lightning Strike or is this a passive crit?

Speaking about it, what would be, respectively in the 2D client and with the Enhanced Client a good macro to both Honor the target and then hit it with lightening strike ?

And what about UOAssist ?

I noticed that sometimes macroes tend to "jam", perhaps some wait times are crucial to a good functioning of the macro ?

Thanks.

well...not sure what exactly your asking here. But you can make a macro from the UO window to invoke honor. After that its simply clicking the creature you want to honor and your done. Once its honored its honored for good. Lightning strike is another macro from the UO window and you press it before every hit you land on the creature.

not much more to really say on honor and lightning strike

Good thread, but shouldn't this be in the warrior forum?

Good thread, but shouldn't this be in the warrior forum?
After I posted the initial post, I expected someone to bring this up.

Whereas the general focus of my post is warrior based, the specific question's answer turned out to be bushido based. I had a feeling it was related to bushido but wasn't sure and left it open ended, instead, choosing to let the bushido/warrior crosses narrow it down.
