So one of my guildmates gave me a castle a while back and I finally decided to organize it. I must have clicked something because now when I try to turn into ninja form, it tells me I can't do that because i have savage kin paint on. The GMs told me to dye and try an oil cloth but neither worked. So they told me to find some savage kin paint and put in on and then try to remove it again.

So my question is, where do I get savage kin paint and another oil cloth?

Oil cloth any GM tailor can make, savage paint used to be stocked at the Moonglow gate shop directly East of gate. Hope this helps.

If you don't find the paint on a vendor, go farm tribal berries from the female savages in Ilsh, and I'm sure someone who has GM cooking (such as QZ) would be happy to make the paint for you from the berries...and such a person is likely to be able to make the oilcloth as well.

For some reason, on Stratics, the paint doesn't show up in item search on the main page, I always have to find it on the page that has special items listed.

You lose the paint effect if you die, attack an NPC savage or after week of play time.

From the FAQ:

A skilled cook can create savage kin paint from a tribal berry
and some flour. You must have an 80.0 skill in Cooking to do so. Note that the tribal berry is not edible, so you need not worry about mistakenly double-clicking on them. You can apply savage kin paint to your skin to get the same looks as a savage. A pot of paint can only be used once. The paint will stay on for one week of play time, providing you don't die. When you die, the paint stays on the corpse's skin. An oilcloth can be used to wipe the paint off. In the 2D client your skin will be grey, in the 3D client your skin will show the typical savage markings. Tribal berries can be found as loot on savages.

Applying the paint make you lose some karma. When you are painted, savages will not attack you. If you attack a savage while painted, the paint will burn off, doing about 50 points of damage. You cannot wear a mask of orcish kin when you are painted, so you will have to take sides in the savage vs. orcs war. You can, however, wear an evil orc helm while painted.

Bug: Make sure you are not carrying any honey when you make the paint. The paint will combine with the honey and thus be detroyed.

Someone's vendor close to the Yew gate had some kin paint that I seen last week when I was all over the shard's vendors looking for icy patches to buy.

It was real close to the Yew moongate, just can not remember atm which home it was.

If you do not find any kin paints, just let me know, I do not have any tribal berries but I can log on my Hughes, if ya get a tribal berry or two and just make ya up kin paint. Mir can make the oil cloths.

It has always burnt off of my savage chr. when she died. . or lasted 7 days if she didn't die.

Ya may have found some new UO bug too that may have come about with the SA mega pathes, cuz it should have come off of you with death and oil cloths.

*still waits for egg bombs to restack once again*

I'm not at home right now, but there were 2 cans of paint on the minion last time I looked.
Out and about trying to train the new char atm. I was going to train a bit of lockpicking at Patty's, but something told me it wasn't a good idea right now :D

Can you use a talisman of ward removal on yourself?

Not sure if that'll touch paint or not...

From what FAQ Skylark posted, seems you can just go attack the savage and the paint will burn off.

Head to central Ilshenar.

Go to Compassion gate, in Ilsh, then follow the mountainside south/west until you pass through a gypsy camp into another area. Head north/west from there, and there'll be savages.

Just kill yourself in game and the paint will be gone. I used to wear it all the time when I played Atl. Die = paint gone.

I was talking to her last night. I told her the same thing. The paint in not on her skin. She has normal colored skin. But in effect, its "bugged" onto her. Probably going to have to reapply a new skin paint and remove it properly.

it is not bugged, you just have to kill yourself more than once. I think they intended to work after one or two deaths incase you died while fighting the champ, so you wouldnt need to reapply it. Kill yourself 3 times for good measure, if that doesnt work than you are infact screwed.

It was never intended to help with champs, that was just a side effect.

I'm pretty sure its bugged. I killed myself once and I have died more than once after that lol. also, I bought more of the paint and it says I cannot wear that so I cannot re-apply it. I still need to find an oil cloth but short of that nothing has worked:(

Duke,

I just dropped some pieces of oil cloth by the trash can at the bank in Zento...they will decay in a few hours but if you are going to be on, maybe you can grab one.

I bought the paint but it wont re-apply. It says I cant wear it. I tried the oil cloths anyways and it says I can only use them with something I'm holding, not on myself. I went to compassion and killed some savages, that didnt help. So im paging a GM...again.
