Well apparently if you get blood oathed and kill yourself and you're in a faction YOU GO IN STAT? Can we get a fix on this please? This is ridiculous.

im going out on a limb but isnt that a decent trade off for the better artis you guys get? then again fighting in doom for artis that are better in factions seems like an oxymoron. *braces for flaming impact*

Yeah I guess if you kill yourself, no matter how, you go in stat. I think it's to counter people trying to avoid stat loss by killing themselves with spells if they're about to die in PvP? Not sure really.

Well, don't kill yourself. It's suppose to fix a bug where players would intentionally kill themselves to avoid giving points to the people attacking them and going into stat-loss.

It's been this way for a long time.

True. However, I think in good 'ole UO fashion, the game "sees" you as having killed yourself and stats you accordingly.

Why exactly should someone not be able to take a faction character to doom can I just ask?

There's no reason you can't take your faction character to doom. Just don't complain if when you do, the system works as intended and you wind up in stat loss

i know guys that have equipped themselves with all the factions items in order to be able to solo doom and peerless. they have no desire to use factions in a pvp sense.

i'm not saying it is right or wrong, but using faction gear in a pvm envirnment is a clear advantage imho.

so if u die and go into stat even in a pvm envirnment i don't think this is too much of a penalty.

just hang out for 15 minutes and shoot the breeze with nix

I don't think that is how it is supposed to work though, I believe if you die to blood oath you are not 'commiting suicide' so therefor you shouldn't go into stat loss.

Oh, and maybe switch to fast weapons with low base damage and high life leech/vampiric embrace/constant curse weapon. Cut back on EOO/Consecrate if you are doing more damage than 50% of you HP.

You are a faction fighter! Sucide is no option for you, so not amazing that you are going to statloss.

In theory I agree that if you die in Tram in the manner that you did, you should not go in stat.

With that said: If I had it my way your faction items would drop into your pack upon entering Tram and you would not be able to wear them until you re-entered Fel.

If there are no factions in Tram then there should be no faction items in Tram as well.

No Factions in Tram! No Faction Items in Tram! No Faction Deaths in Tram!

I am an active factioner so there is no faction item abuse here.

That being said, when I PvM in Tram I don't use faction chars because they are all red.

Killing yourself intentionally is designed to put you in stat.

Blood oath is not.

If it works with the DF, we can assume it would work with a non faction necro in FEL that a factioner happens to be fighting.

So you get bloodoathed by some non faction player and eventually die to blood oath, and go into stat loss... In this instance you actually get put in stat loss because you lost a battle against a non faction char? Is that supposed to happen?

The answer is almost certainly, no.

Why? "Suicide statloss" is to prevent people avoiding going into stat by getting the last hit on themselves in a hopeless situation.

Someone dying to bloodoath does not meet the above criteria, hence, no stat loss should apply.

It really is simple logic, game mechanics not working as they should...In my honest opinion.

How can another player in Tram kill you?

Or are you using this example for the Fel facet?
