Pet loyalty bug the packies are going wild!

Sometimes pets go wild when auto-logged with the owner... I noticed this last week for the first time I thought I did something to make my pets go wild but could not figure out what. After I log in again today to rebond to my pets and they login with me but are WILD I know that it was likely a bug with a recent patch! It as if the loyalty timers are not working right or not stopping while logged out. Not being able to play with these pets is not good for me!

By the way these pets are pack horses! Not good to have when they dont stay bonded and stables are full =<. FYI there is no chance they were lingering around the house the whole week either because I would have seen them on one of my other chars.

Don't log out with your pets if you can help it, ever. Just stable them. It takes 10 extra seconds and you won't get hit by the various issues that occur when relying on auto stabling.

How can the stables be full? Never heard of that. You do need to stable them before you log out or they will go wild. You can't just leave them sitting around your house. Are you trying to use them for storage or something?

Nordberg If you read that text you quoted you would know I did not leave them around the house. I logged out they went with me but a week later when I logged in to feed them and rebond they were wild.

Well there's your problem! What kind of inhumane animal are you!! Feeding your pets only once a week. No wonder they ran away!

Poor things probably starved half to death..

The packies probably had something in their backpack as it prevents them from logging out with their owner.

The stables used to be full. We'd have to recall around everywhere looking for somewhere to put our stuff everytime we used them. I was in AMT and we had our own stable. I still can't believe a guild had a stable and an arena and all that other stuff we had. Anyway, it was really challenging hunting with animals when you never knew if you'd be able to stable them when you finished.

You do know that autostable doesn't work for loaded pack animals? Never has and isn't meant to.

I know packies can't be used for storage they did auto-log with me its just that when I logged back in a week later they logged back in with me wild. They can not have been around for a week at the house without me knowing it.

Sarsmi I am going to follow your advice and stable them I'll just have to toss out some pets I guess =<. This bug that caused me to loose those packies and a greater dragon is new to me but since its all happened in the last couple weeks I will have to assume its a new bug.

I mean come on I am far from new to this game I know the "rules" about using pack animals and how auto-logging has worked for years in the past why would I be loosing pets now in only the last couple weeks unless it was because of a programming error?

You logged out and "they went with you?" So they were at your house in RL? I think you're splitting hairs here... basically you didn't stable them, so you lost them. It's not a bug. That's just the way it is.

Your previous message indicates you will have to get rid of some pets... so if you have already used your allocation of slots how do you expect pets to stick around when you just log out?

I don't know when it happened but recently I noticed all my characters that had 2 packies now have one. Odd but I haven't used them in a while so not sure when it happened.

Nordberg... your a troll or just to new to this game to know that we can have full stables and still log out with pets. If the pets are capable of carrying items they logout with us as long as they are not carrying items.
