This morning chocalot spotted a Giant Turkey near the Britain graveyard (Trammel), so we took the time to lore it:

Note: The Giant Turkey remained non-aggressive as long as we did not attack it.

They are even on the little island that one of our guilds has a guild house on!

Found this one peeking in the windows!

Turkey soup anyone? :stir:

(hopefully the picture is attached!)

*runs back to IRC where its safe*

PS. There are probably 7 or 8 of the turkeys on the little island. Along with the snakes/alligators and such.

I spent most of the mid morning working these guys solo. First my tamer/mage.. went through my pets and me in no time.. tried a dexer with 100 energy weapon and bird slayer tali.. 2 hits and I was down. Got my Bard/mage out...

after hours and multiple head bangs on the desk here's what I can tell you.

Disco'd only with 120 disco
Provo 2 on each other, only after both are disco'd and my 115 provo took me hundreds of tries.

If you get lucky you get a full map pop in your bag upon dead. Loot is rather crappy for the difficulty of these guys.

If you are unlucky you get a fragment of a map.. have to kill 3 of them to get enough pieces.

If you throw ev's at them, better invis immediately.. they will pull you into them.. and they hit hard.. also have a spell that slows you way way down, both casting and moving.

My bard/mage/necro managed to get corpse skin and ev's on them, but in the end, it was provoking 2 on each other, and when I was down to redline on my last bird, it was best just to throw bolts or cor por's on them.

When you get a full map, then go to the Brit Zoo and talk to the Quest giver, all you really need to say is "Brush" to move on.

Use the T-map map for the location of the nest on your map, double click the brush, target the map, then target the ground.. you will get a gump telling you are either very close, nearby or nothing in the area.. when you hit the spot, there's a nice nest (hint hint.. would love that for deco).. destroy the egg, a bag pops up.. can't pick up the bag, but be sure to open it for your prizes!

Aw, c'mon, leave the turkeys alone!

They deserve to live their digital lives in peace.
