Invasion Weapons

Remember the invasion weapons that dropped from the Generals not long ago? They had some very promising stats - high damage, high swing speed, & high hit lightning.

I have a lot of them taking up space in a secondary account. But since they cannot be enhanced or imbued (you get the message they are made of a special material), I find myself letting them continue to collect dust. I unraveled one just to see if it could be done. I got essences. I was hoping to be able to imbue them with a leech, as many of my crowded templates rely on leeches.

With imbuing in the game, would allowing these to be imbued be unfair or unbalancing? Devs is there a chance they might be unflagged so they can be imbued?

I am curious as to what people are doing with them. Unraveling them? Using them? Still collecting dust in hopes for future use?

There is no reason they cannot be enhanced other than another Game glitch

they are NOT made form anything special and I am still holding out hope that they actually fix this issue.

Same as for the colored armor, some of them are dcolors you just cannot dye.

But who knows.

Wasn't there actually a lot of mention that the armor would be imbue-able at the time?

Not that it is the most urgent issue atm but some clarification would be super duper. I was also hoping to look into this when I could make something actually worthwhile.

Don't see why it would be an issue as long as they remained within the existing imbuing limits?

I wish they would fix the special attacks that the Vorpal Blade and Staff of Pyros were supposed to have too!

(Oh an didn't those ice staffs have a special attack one upon a time too?)

Those 50ssi bows are great. We used to kill the crimson dragons with them a lot.

They turned them off in 07 I think. At the same time they turned off the Demon armor spawn.

i believe that they were only supposed to have 2 of the 3 abilities for each staff... thats what i remember anyways... so getting one you had to try all 3 to figure it out

I kept the weapons, but trashed prob 500 lockables worth of colored armor, once I saw the new dyes. I did keep 2 sets of the red plate and made a cheap 106 LRC suit for secondary chars to recall in...

I'm gathering from this that you're referring to the armor from the most recent invasion that the 50 ssi weps came from. This is good to hear as I hung onto 1 set of crimson red and 1 set of coal black plate to imbue with LRC, Mage Armor, and MR for my crafters. They'll be stylin' in their Sunday best armor.

I just tried the Imbuing skill on some of those armours, plus the coloured kryss that accompanied the studded set.. I get the imbuing gump come up, no "special material" message. I haven't actually tried adding properties yet, but it seems they're not ruled out. I have quite a few sets.. some hues could be dyed I'm sure, but a few appear to be unique.

The colored armor is just for the pretties. Get no Exp/Arms Lore pump compared to other crafted armor. Raises another question is if it can be altered to gargish. Some skin matching red armor may look cool.

As long as the latest weapons from the invasion have no enhance (IE bows) I wouldn't see imbueding much more unbalancing then the new gargish slayers.

The old invasion weapons could only be unblocked if they plan to never have a berserker race creature again. Guy with an Ophid Mystic heavy X-Bow was the only thing I seen that match my 5 frenzy on a discorded ophid berserker

You can get the daemon armour off of meer mages too!

Now wondering whether you can imbue the daemon armour...

No on the deamon armor but you can imbue Ranger Armor and Mining gloves. Even the first spawn deamon armor is a no on the imbuing. May get back later on the word of that rare few week spawn white deamon bone armor from Ish freets.

Blimey I always thought it was a bug or someting that made the 'plain' coloured daemon bone armour! Are you saying it's a rare drop off efreets?

It looks like you can stain it though! which makes sense if it's kind of like normal bone armour that's 'enhanced' with daemon bone maybe!

The deamon bone armor can be bleeched to white. The rare few week spawn armor is titled "Bone Armor" and in the items description it says "deamon bone armor". It spawned in normal white color not reddish.
