About sampire weapons making

I am actually imbuing my sampire weapons. I use generally an exceptionnal radiant scimitar (because of whirlwind) and I add 50 DI (to be 100 with my jewels), 62 HML, 50 HSL, a slayer property, and a little (the most possible) of another property.
So my question is : is there any interest to enhance these items as they are 100% physical damage ?
With valorite, I get physical 40%, fire 10%, cold 20%, poison 10%, energy 20%.
Thanks for your help

You could... but you have a very high chance of breaking the scimitar upon enhancing. Assuming you used PoF to get 255/255 on the radiant scimitar before you started, that will get kind of expensive to break. And you'll probably starting pulling your hair out after you break a few.

If I were you, I'd leave that scim be and enjoy the weapon. It sounds very nice. But if you have a very specific need for the damage output based that matches the metal type and have gold to burn, you can try it, but be forewarned.

To be honest, it's a lot better to imbue 45% DI or even leave it at 40, than spend the 10 crystal shards for 50%
Same with all the properties really, 90% isnt much different than 100% (except maybe HCI/DCI)

I totally second this - I agree so much, actually, that for secondary weapons I'm not even bothering to PoFing them up. The 200k+ for PoF are way more than the 25k for the dull runic (to craft a 30ssi weap and save on relics), the 30 or so residues and the few gems required, and it's a lot cheaper to just craft and imbue a few.

As an aside, I really think they got it all wrong with imbuing: I think you should always use some "rare" ingredient (1 every 10% intensity, maybe?), and the choice between residue, essence and relic should be dictated by intensity, instead of property. I find it silly that 1% HCI is 10 times more expensive than 18LRC, for instance.

I wouldn't risk enhancing. If you're using consecrate weapon, it won't matter if you split damage: consecrate causes you to deal damage according to the mob's lowest resist.

The one thing you will want to put on your scimitar is swing speed increase.

You can make up the damage increase with a few relatively inexpensive items (ring, bracelet, primer on arms damage removal, stormgrip or gauntlets of nobility), but you can't make up the swing speed increase very easily at all.

I actually collect 100% non-phys dmg swords weapons purely for my sampire weapon arsenal.

When I need to farm something new, or find a new boss, I'll make a custom weapon for that boss based on their lowest resist and slayer type.

Last night I made a pretty sweet boura farming weapon because I'm trying to rebuild all my PvP suits with imbued armor. A double axe with 100% fire dmg SSI, di, and mana leech. 3 double shots and it goes down.

For me, it's really made PvM fun again. I can take the time to maximize my dmg output and effectiveness. Instead of whacking on a high plains boura 20 times I can drop it in 3 double strikes, all of the sudden farming 400 boura pelts only took me a couple hours instead of days.
