Imbuing Practice Weapon Broken?

It's weird. I tried to imbue a Longsword [a practice weapon] and I put 25 ssi, 44 hit fireball, 44 hit fire area, and 23 mana leech. That is clearly 4 properties, they don't come with any DI on them.

I went to add FC 1 and it said the item has too many properties, so I figured maybe it just put it over the cap of 450% intensity. But then I tried to put something on that had 1.0 weight, and it wouldn't let me. When I went to modify an intensity it showed that the weapon had 5/5 properties.

I'll post some screenshots tonight or tomorrow, but curious to know if anyone has had these issues.

Hmm, didn't they do less damage, if so maybe it has a hidden negative damage increase. Try adding damage increase and see if it accepts it.

I don't think practice weapons are newbied (blessed). I have a crook that falls to my corpse if it's not insured. It should Item ID at no value if it's newbied.

They do much less damage than standard weapons, so perhaps they have negative DI % as a hidden property.

So forgive my ignorance, but why would you want to imbue a practice weapon?

the first course of action would be to see what item id has to say about the item.

At one time I thought practice weapons stayed with you after death (not on Siege). I guess this isn't true? It can't be blessed, because you can't imbue blessed items.

im gonna speculate here.
im a 120 imbuer but not a rocket scientist, so bare with me.

im gonna guess that its not the 5 item thing thats blocking you.

im gonna guess its a wieght item.

as the item ISNT a GM Exceptional item its probablly capped at 450 wieght, no?

so you probablly are allready over 400 with the other items on it.

i had the same problem when i was making a spawning bow the other night.
was trying to add 5 items onto a non GM bow, wouldnt let me.

maybe hit the imbue button, target the weapon, hit add a property that you allready have on it, that will show you the wieght and such.

maybe even take a screen shot and post it so we can see the numbers.

I lost motivation to take the pictures but when I go to an existing property to change intensity it says 5/5 properties. I'm wondering if maybe there is a hidden negative damage increase.

And it's not the intensity percentage blocking me, because I took the hit area down to 1% to try to add another property and it still didn't let me.

And for the person who asked why I would want to imbue one, I don't have a good answer. I would just feel cool whacking people with a practice weapon.
