Starting today (10-17-2009) we are adding the following to the Rules of Conduct:
Multiple user accounts
You may not use an alternative user account to promote or support your main user account in a way that implies you are more than one person or to evade disciplinary actions.
Some examples of the kind of behaviour this rule is meant to curb are:
using an alt to raise the price on an item you are selling by auction.
using an alt to 'testify' to your own honesty as a trader.
using an alt to support yourself in a disagreement or call for game change.
using an alt to deliberately break Stratics Rules of Conduct with no consequence to your main user account.
Infractions incurred under this rule will be applied equally to both the main and the alt user account of the poster.
This rule does not affect legitimate use of alternate user accounts such as role play characters, guild affiliations etc.
