Why do I get the message that tells me I must purchase the expasion in order to use the crystal and shadow walls in my house? I thought I had all the upgrades included with my SA account. Please advise.

The crystal and shadow tiles are only available to those who bought the 9th anniversary edition.
It is not included in the "all expansions" upgrade.

Which is kind of lame, considering the cry stal is god aweful looking and the shadow has decent parts, but even some of it are aweful looking also.
Not sure why they didn't include that into the SA. Not like it would have hurt anyone.

Because it's not an expansion, it's an anniversary release, the purpose of which was to generate extra revenue by providing the incentive of gifts available only to those who purchased it.

So go to your local game store, check the pc section and I'm sure they will have it for cheap. I know they have several versions of UO at my local game store. I already have the 9th ani. and my house is Shadow

I am fairly certain I have seen it for like $5, maybe $10, at the Gamestop near my house.

yes, would be better if everyone used the search function, and knew exactly what terms to search for
problem is, folks come back and are told by EA that their accounts have now been upgraded to include all expansions up to SA and then they hit the stumbling block of those two tile sets
and really, did anyone buy that expansion because "omgooses, I just gotta have those crystal tiles!!!" just give everyone the tiles....

It's still lame
If EA did sell the code for 9th anniversary edition on uogamecodes or at least the wall and tiles it would make sense.
I imagine that version-confusion-issues like this tend to be the reason they eventually give away the expansions anyways. Personally I think when they gave everyone access to ML, they should have instead just added all entitlements up to SA to wipe the slate clean.
(I actually have a half-dozen 9th ed boxes that I picked up in a bargain bin for pennies ... unfortunately for some brain-dead reason I opened them and put all the codes in the same box with the ones I'd actually used ... so now I don't know which are which)
