So, as with every patch, I check InsideUO (nice stuff there that I'm not telling about), and I notice that the 12th Anniversary Cake has changed... looks like it should be doing the nifty "hue" thing, where part of the cake stays one color, and the rest of it hues. It also looks like the perspective shifted some...
Well, for the cakes, the perspective still doesn't line up with the isometric viewpoint of the game, and in the Enhanced Client, they've gone wonky:
Which of course got me to thinking about the Potted Silver Serpent Tree:
And, while I don't have an image of it (not chancing the loss of a Codex of Virtue), the Codex of Virtue was taken from the original that's of correct perspective in the Abyss and it was simply reduced in size along the X and Y axises. The unfortunate side effect of that is that when you take an isometric circle and shrink it like that, you end up with a squished circle (which is why the Codex of Virtue seems a bit off).
Hopefully this art can be revisited and fixed.
