Don't get me wrong now, I wish I had a college degree, but after starting pre school at age 3...thats 2 years in pre school then another year in kindergarten, then 12 years in grade school....heck that's 15 years of school I needed a break!
I would like a college degree though so maybe one day I will go to college and get me one. *shrugs*
I never actually got my college degree either. Very close though.
It was May 4th 1970 I was supposed to graduate that June.
My campus became impossible to actually study a thing any more what with folks thinkin they could fly out of dorm windows trippin to their deaths. And the one batch torchin the ROTC building setting it afire, bringing the National Guard on over to shoot at us all any of us cuz of the idiots that burned the ROTC building down.
I left...never looked back people on all sides were acting, brainless.
I left on a jet plane, got a diffferent kind of degree and became trained and graduated from a travel industry school. I became a travel agent and airline employee, toured Europe Morocco and beyond, and I also met my future spouse cuz I left KSU behind me.
No regrets ! I went back to Wisconsin U to finish that degree, till it dawned on me clinical psychologist, child advocate has a lot of bureaucratic BS to do and put up with, to be someone that may have to, take someone's kids away from them even before ya think ya should or need to, due to redtape .... me and rules and bureacracy just do not MIX at all times, so I hung it up and quit college the 2nd time. Yet I have spent years with trying to help troubled teens even without my degree *usually in church or foreign exchange student outlets which I've been on.
I can psycho babble diagnose, many folks' issues or thru their art work, anyhow with all that studying, I had had. *but I can not type worth a flip tonite typos spellin errors*
I was 4 wks from getting my Art/ Psychology/social worker/ teacher/ combo university degrees. And should I ever return to it and or catch up and refresh/update, I could probably have that diploma in a less than a quarter of a year, but alas some folks just opt to be/remain FREE SPIRITS and can not be bothered to fit in, to become social workers or teachers or shrinks, fighting bureacratic red tape all the time, just to do their jobs. I am one, such personality type !
