Information for the PvP Tournament
* Note: Rules are subject to change prior to the tournament, with notice
Registrations will be accepted at the PvP Arena. There is a mailbox on the front steps of the PvP Arena. Contestants will need to write down their name in a book and drop it in the mailbox. The books will be collected and the EM’s will match up players randomly.
As there are new skills and new templates at work with the release of SA, this is not going to be a class tournament. Match ups will be completely random and the winner of each round will advance to the next round until there is one winner. However, we will be watching this tournament to determine template classes for the next tournament.
In the event of an odd number of contestants, one contestant will be chosen by a dice roll to get a “buy” for the first round. In the event of an odd number of contestants in the final rounds, dice will again be used to determine matchups with the loser of one match facing off against the “odd man out”.
For this tournament, there will be very few rules. However, the following WILL apply and disregarding them will subject the offender to immediate removal/ban from the house. And, as a caution, the house has been changed from the last tournament.
Match Rules
1.Each match will have a five minute time limit. If a match goes to the five minute mark, it will be stopped, players will have a chance to heal, and the match will go to sudden death. At that point, there will be no healing, curing, etc. allowed.
2.Upon completion of a match, the winner will be immediately teleported out of the ring. The fallen contestant will be allowed to rez and gather their belongings before the next match.
3.There is to be NO looting of your opponents corpse.
House Rules
1.NO pets. There is a stable master downstairs. All pets MUST be stabled before proceeding up to the viewing floor.
2.Arrive on time. You must be transferred up to the viewing area. There will be a 15 minute grace period. After that time, no one will be admitted.
3.Upon arrival and access, take your seats and stay in them until your name is called for your match. Failure to do so will result in a maximum of ONE warning and then removal from the house.
4.You may leave the house at any time you wish via the white tile upstairs. However, once the matches have started, no one will be readmitted.
5.Please remove all weapons upon entering the house until time for your match. Also, please disable any area effect spells that you have set for macros. Players will be given ONE warning and then removed from the house.
6.There will be NO rez killing of contestants. Anyone doing so will be immediately removed from the house.
7.Should there be any problems please stay seated and allow the EM’s to handle the situation. Anyone taking matters into their own hands during the tournament will be removed from the house as well as the offending party.
If you are removed from the house for any reason, or choose to leave the house for any reason once the competition begins, you WILL NOT be granted re-entry. If you are a contestant and are removed or leave, you will forfeit your place in the tournament
