Where can I find Blue Diamonds?

Hey guys, I have been mining for 2 hours and no gems. I can mine regular gems but not the Blue Diamond gems. Any idea where to mine these? I have been mining all over the place and no luck.

Is your account have the ML upgrade?

Those gems are random when mining. Can not remember if you have to be GM to get them though.

There is a 0.6% chance of finding a gem with any such action.

The remaining six gem types are obtained by Grand Master miners.

Gotta love RNG. Albert accualy needs this rare find, meanwhile Joe Blow mines up ten in an hour and trashes them thinking they are just another gem.

I've mined far longer than 2 hours cumulatively at times, and not obtained a single gem, and then there have been times where I received 2 of the special gems in 2 consecutive swipes of the pickaxe on a quick mining run. RNG is evil. The main rule also is that if you do get gems, you will always get gems other than the ones you need for crafting at that particular time.

All you need is Gm mining. Or you can have 95 mining and wear the +5 mining gloves to reach 100 skill. Either way, it takes a very long time to get these rare gems.

I'll go hours and not get any.

I find that the best way to find mining gems is no longer through mining.

Well, they'd represent hours upon hours of time, so probably a fair bit.

The question then becomes whether anybody's willing to pay what it'd be worth in time to collect them.

Then, if somebody is, somebody just starts scripting their collection and makes them no longer worth the time to collect by actual players.

At least, that's my 10 seconds of thought on the matter.

Well I have 100 of these, so the work is already done. I suppose I could just put them up for auction and see where it goes.

When I used to mine from time to time I would average about 8 gems and hour (random of course). Being an elf helps. Every gem but the ecrus would collect dust. Back then I remember the lesser gems going for 1k per since nobody could sell them. Now that you can use them to make special ingredients I am sure the value will go up.

LOL Well... I need 2 of them for the quest to receive the Bone Machete recipe. I already got 1 form mining after mining for almost another 2 hours. If any of you have 1 for sale let me know.

If I don't find a seller I'm gonna have to mine for another 2 hours to get it.


Ah! also... does anyone have the barks needed for the quest? I need 10.

I will buy them if you have them.
