Vendor Question

How do I get to the customizing vendor clothing or handheld items?

I can't seem to get past the hair-beard part.

Personally, I HATE vendors, so this is a last resort for me.


How do I add millions of Gold at a time to the vendor? He doesn't seem to accept checks...

Customize is for the above

Go to vendor choice... I think its paperdoll. Drag cloths off and on vendor paperdoll just like you do yourself. Add or drop hand held item same way.

to get money on the vendor, you put a worthless item at 500k or whatever, have a friend buy it, then give the check to your friend.

otherwise you have to use a pack horse to cart gold to the vendor.

If you have more than one account you can price an item up to 100m and sell it to the second account. With only one account you need a bod book and a bod. Price the bod at whatever and then put it in the BOD book and put the bod book on the vendor and hit ESC to make it not for sale. Then buy the bod. Obviously you must have the funds in your bank so do this with the character that usually has all the money.

But don't you have to pay the vendor fees for that if you do it that way?

Spawning used too make fokls alot of money. I used to just stand at bank and sell scrolls I got from paperdoll...accept money. Sent ICQs out. Post on trade forums. Now days just word of mouth can make you alot of money. I used to have folks ICQing me daily for armor. I burned alot of bkits. Sold armor. So its quite possible not too. I made almost 100m one day in sale of PS...that was from a weeks worth of spawning...

I worked 18 hours a freaking day, and killed more monsters last month than someone like you will ever kill in your uo life.

I made 100 million gold yest killing monsters... Yes, in one day.

My accounts are so freaking clean I was the Arch Companion for the west. SQUEAKY clean for 12 years

I HATE vendors, but I can't store the gold any more. Plus, I guess I'm so cheap I'll packhorse the gold in even though I could buy anything or pay anything. I know a guy that made 2 billion last week MAKING things. People like him pay me because I can deliver anything in any quantity in a timely fashion. I could also make any item in uo that could be made, but I prefer to kill things.

I think this is the only thing ever said to me on the boards that actually made me angry. He talks like he knows how to play uo. Like it must be an exploit to make billions. This is EASY if you work hard enough.

I work with a guy with 17Billion Gold, thats with a B. Thats what 17,000 1 million gold checks. Where could you store that kind of money?

You owe me an apology! I never even used UOA. I actually hit every keystoke myself.

Open bod book and the same characture that dropped it on the vendor can buy the deeds.

But if you have 2 accounts its easier just to load once account up with gold and buy off the vendor.

Its worth any fees you might incur.

I guess you're right. You can't even do it with packhorses anyway. The limit is 1m you can add that way.

Besides I'll lose more than the fees wasting time messing with it.

I didn't accuse you of doing anything illegal and I didn't call you any names or say anything bad about you personally. All I said was that this raises some red flags, and that I was very curious to know how you got that much money and still had no idea about a generally very closely related aspect of this game.

When it comes down to it someone with as much money as you claim to have who knows as little as you claim to know DOES raise some red flags. I never said it was impossible, I never accused you of anything. All I did was state a fact, and ask a question.

Now if you want to get all pissy and cry about how I am a jerk for asking a question that could possibly suggest you are less then the most pure soul since Mother Teresa, then go ahead, have a ball. But you better not think I will every apologize to you.

In fact, Ill take it a step farther. Most people who are totally innocent and got all that money in a legit manner would simply say "This is what I did". Its the people who throw a tantrum like you did who are usually trying to compensate for their guilty conscience and throw the blame on someone else to take the attention off of themselves.

Whereas before I was simply curious, I am now suspicious. I do not think its possible to earn 100 mil in gold in one day just by killing monsters. I think that's a bold faced lie. You might get lucky and get some stuff you can sell for a pretty penny, but earning 100mil just from killing monsters in 1 day, even if you played nonstop for 24 hours straight is not possible. As for your apology... go to hell. Not gonna happen.

As for your initial question it is more then possible to load up a vendor with 1 billion gold and not have to pay one single gold piece in vendor fees. But seeing as how your more interested in starting drama and bragging about how much gold you have then you are about really learning, I wount bother explaining it to ya. Even if you did earn all that gold legit, you deserve to pay high vendor fees just for being an a$$.

Oh let's see.

Today can be the only day in my life I will respond to personal attacks on a computer.

I'm 48. I used to run computer companies. I retired when I was 31 from a company in Raleigh, N.C. I have 2 children, and a lovely wife. My mom has a house that looks like a museum, but I don't live there. I have been able to live exactly as I pleased for the best years of my life. I've traveled, and raised my kids myself. I have a 2-month old asleep over there with me now so my life in a way has started over again.

All I wanted to do was find some way to deal with all this gold because honestly I've gotten rid of everything I can really do that with. It takes so many empty spaces when we're getting loot before we unravel its unbelievable. My son and I will get something like 2900 pieces of loot then unravel, so even with 4 houses, and the 27 chars worth of banks. I don't have enough space.

I got angry because people talk crap instead of being helpful to everyone. Normally, I'd just skip and move on, today I picked a person that was rude to me, and responded in kind. I was seriously outraged because of the ridiculously clean way I've played uo for 12years. Then, just a minute ago I went on over to off topic and really spoke poorly to him personally.

Now, the folks in offtop are looking for weakness of any kind.

Do, I think anything positive could possibly happen from that? Nope.

Do, I think he will be the only person who will say something negative to me because of it? Of course not. There will be a flood of crap talked. I will ignore it, and move on because what else can anyone do here.

As far as a Uo god? What would that even be? I have every kind of character but a fencer. The way uo is set up you have to play at certain times or you totally miss things forever. Right now, is one of those times. I can make more gold over the next 2 months than I will ever need if I play 10 more years. Then, it will be gone forever. So, I've got no choice but to play now a lot.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the help I've gotten on the boards over the last few months.

I was wrong 2 or 3 times here today. I should have just smiled and moved on.
