After being away for almost 4 years I am returning to UO
and finding Napa Valley almost Dead *sigh* I am
looking for a new Home.

so any one have a preference?

Catskills or Baja or Atlantic?

I want to be able to have a large house good guilds
Events and since the UO Guilds page seems to be DOA
I have no way of knowing populations or guilds...

I am not as much in to PvP as I used to be...
looking for PvM

from what I hear Atlantic may be the most populated but that is
not always a good thing Baja seems ok, and so does Catskills...

I am just looking for a good home I was an Original Beta tester
of UO in 1997, and have had an active account ever since
Holding a Seer Blessed building on Napa Valley Fel

Any suggestions? for a Old time player Returning, and looking forward
to playing his favorite old game...

thanks in advance.

You missed Pacific. It's the most populated of the west coast shards, but nowhere near the crowding on Atlantic. It's got just enough people for things to be hopping, but not enough that you're crowded out of every hunting spot.

Siege na, got a tons of stuff there from the old days, Good/Evil spell books ect...
like I said not really into the PvP thing now of days...

and Yes I did for get Pacific.. is it still mostly PvP or PvM guilds?

Edit: I even accepted a Character Transfer Promo token there, before they let out that you could NOT transfer off SP

It's a good combination of both. Some of them are actually worth joining too.

I play baja, 18x18's are EVERYWHERE! It's a little slow at times, my guild is small, but everyone is really, really cool. There are larger guilds like si, afk, and some others that are openly recruiting. The rp community from what I hear, is one of the most active. I cannot remember the last time I had to wait for a boss to be killed. Almost anyone on the shard will help you out.

What coast are you on, East or West? I would check ping first and then visit all the shards for a look see. If you come to Baja I still have runes to some of my old houses spots that you are welcome to. Also there are people that will make anything you need to deco your house and stuff to get you started.

Atlantic has a large population, and it's likely you won't find a spot for a larger house. If you are ok with East Coast shards check out Chessy, the population is moderate, there are good housing spots left, and a few really excellent Guilds. If you were to come by look me up I'll see to it you get hooked up with some good people.

Out of curiosity, which Seer Blessed building do you hold?

How is the Housing situation on Pacific? full or are there still places for a large house?
You should be able to find a spot to put down an 18x18 with a little wandering around. Anything bigger than that is still somewhat difficult to come by.
