Sometimes you have to stop up and ask your self if it's worth it.
I know, you do have alot of friends and alot of respect and trust and so do your fellow mods have.
People who leave the herd and don't fear to stand alone and have an opinion will always get alot of both positive and negative response.
Some like to hide in the herd and never risk to be singled out, others do not like to be a nobody.

Agree or disagree. He deserved it ten times over. No one knew me outside the alliance and I never did business with many people. The people I do know and do trade with trust me, out side that circle its just people I know through pvp. Seeing as im a no name in the community im the perfect person to do the crime. If stealing from a thief is a crime that is.

Dbag-tbagger definitely has claimed and won by an overwhelming majority the coveted 'biggest dou-che on the shard' award at the present time. The saddest part is: there's always someone else vying for it.

Just because he deserved it doesn't make the act righteous, some people see your retaliation as more of the same and the cycle continues.

I think EA should give these sorts of people an outlet.
Give lizardmen an AI capable of browsing the forums and arranging trades, and people can gain in their board-scamming skill in a productive manner.

So where does it stop? Can I assume you'll be backing me when I scam the next Wyrm out of x Million or whatever because I don't like the way he kills and dry loots NEW? So some scams are now 'ok' but other's are not? I think we need to create a new word for the 'ok' scam because it's going to get confusing...

Killing people in game and dry looting them is so far from getting on ICQ making deals taking money and not producing goods or services is so far from the same thing. Honestly come back with a real arguement please. I mean this with all due respect. Just making a point.

Scamming Wyrm because you didn't like how he killed you in game is simply scamming Wyrm and is readily viewed as detestable.
Scamming a scammer on the other hand does not quite evoke the same revulsion in alot of people. I can sit here and say "yea Roland was wrong" and have no real desire to set right that wrong via "siege justice" whereas in both Obi and Duke's case I felt ashardwide beatdown was necessary.
I honestly still feel I can trust Roland in a face to face transaction.
The difference here is Roland is a guy who made a mistake and probably will not ever engage in this behavior again. Diablow, on the other hand, is habitual and beyond redemption; any act of contrition directed towards him is a wasted effort and serves no greater good whatsoever.

The real world doesnt revolve around the saying my supervisors at work use to motivate me Kelmo. Im sure you agree with this as well.
I want to further clarify my position on this;
I think Roland should give the 15 mil to Orbi.
Roland owes a debt to Diablo who in turn owes a debt to Orbi.
Roland would make any necessary amends due Diablo by covering his debt to Orbi.
If Diablo had not scammed Orbi i would say the only road to an amends in this situation would be for Roland to return Diablow's gold to Diablo; this is not the case.
I experienced a rl situation like this 10 years ago and a Judge ruled in my favor. my exwife and I swapped custody of our daughter every week. I payed her child support and covered my weeks of daycare; she was to cover hers as per the divorce agreement. She failed to do so resulting in me gettign hassled over her debt. I consulted my lawyer, and was told to pay the daycare, take the cost off my child support check, and keep damn good records of all of the above. My ex-wife, of course, drags me into court on failure to pay child support charges. I produce all my checks, receipts, and divorce/custody pappers, the judges reads over them for maybe 5 minutes and rules in my favor. Pretty much I payed my debt to her by covering her debt to the daycare center. That is what needs to happen here with Roland and hes done all he can do.
He will have admitted his wrong and made it right. Diablo is the one who opened the door for not ever getting his 15 mil back by scamming Orbi.
This solution, in my opinion, is not at all morally ambigous and leaves Roland in the clear as far as the scam. the lying to his friends and whatnot is something between them and that is where that topic should remain imo.
