Green Crystals Pffftttt

So how does one ask a question to the devs without it being moved to Rants and Spiels?

Would it have been better if I asked "how does one remove the green crystals from the ground in a manner that doesn't take up 2 hours due to having to lift them individually?

Does anyone know whey they are set up like that? A green crystal spawner that spawns thousands upon thousands of bags of green crystals.

What can someone do to stop this?

Hey Mr/Mrs Mod.. is this a better way to ask!! after all we sure don't want to upset EA do we? God forbid.

What green crystals?
Log on TC1 and go to Yew gate. You will see them.

But it's not as bad now cause I cleaned a bunch up with some people. But if you go 1 screen to the right of the gate you will see a house that is totally blocked.

I can deal with most in game issues but not ones that stop me from playing, unless EA wants to credit me back some money for not being able to play... which they wont and actually shouldn't... but you get the idea.

EA does not allow people to block places in game but they do not police this on test. So I'm sure I'm Sorta Outa Luck on this issue.

Exactly! People get the green crystal spawners and spawn hundreds upon hundreds of bags of green crystals. Each bag has at least 37 crystals in it.

You can then drop all the crystals from the bag in one shot and do this over and over and over and over and over and over and over.. get the idea

So now the moongate has thousands upon thousands of green crystals blocking it.

But I know EA's answer anyway: "This is test center, too bad for you, play a real shard, we are too busy with making Halloween gifts".

use a necromancer with his or her nifty sidekick horde minion. It picks things up automatically and when the minion gets full you release it and it will dissapear with all things in it's pack and then you just summon another horde minion and rinse and repeat. :)

That is exactly what we did. Good call.

But I was wondering if there was a faster way to do this? Or if we could get EA to just change the way it is implemented..

After all if I wanted to clean things up I would start with my bedroom :thumbsup:

They were set up to allow people to do lots of testing without having to constantly create new characters to be able to get another box of materials.

(they only exist on the test center and require a tiny amount of maturity on the part of players)

*tries to remember if there was some command to force a cleaning of the bank ground area*

So why did they not do reagents and boards and jewels and any other in game item the same way?

Here's a thought, how about spawn 1000 of them in the bank with "give resources" just like every other item? Or does this just make too much sense?

Because there was already a way to get these resources (my understanding is that the new spawners were added primarily for testing plant clipping / dyes / basketweaving where you needed a high item-count of non-stacking resources; crystals weren't as much of an issue but were just being added around the same time )

hmmm I see your point.

I just wish they could have added a command or some way that would delete them. Or if we could at least break them with an ax.

Something... Anything.... Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh..

Sometimes the lag is horrendous because there are so many of them all over the place. Even Luna bank is out of control sometimes.

So TC is your main shard?
Actually no it isn't.

My main shards PvP population has dwindled significantly. And when I'm in Fel I get tired of having to play at a disadvantage to blues in the game. How so? Read below.

But the main reason is that I work a lot, so when I do get the chance to log on I want to PvP. And maybe I'm spoiled but I want instant gratification, which I get on TC1.

There are many things about Fel rules that annoy me and stop me from logging on a real shard. They made Tram for people who dont want to PvP, which I fully respect. But then they seem to set up the PvP rules in Fel to help Trammies.

As an example: why is there stat loss in factions? People who are in factions want to PvP!! They don't want to have to wait 20 minutes for stat loss to wear off. They are logging in and playing UO to PvP.

Why is there flee of battle if you are dead? You died, the battle is over! You lost! And again most people who are in Fel are there to PvP, why penalize them? Let them get ressed up and get back to playing!

Why aren't all the wandering Healers in Fel red? This way they would res reds and blues. Instead EA added red healers at each moongate as a band-aid. Yet In the lost lands, blues have a healer to go to but reds don't. Why is this?

Also there are many other places where blue healers outnumber the red healers 10 to 1. So a red has to sometimes run around for 20 minutes looking for a healer where a blue usually only has to go a couple of screens.

Again people who play in Fel want to PvP, if you don't you, you play in Tram.

You see the PvP rules are antiquated... they still have rules that were more important when there was no Tram to help protect blues. But now that there is a Tram, why not let Fel be for us PvPers the way we want it.

Also these days in Fel being red is just a fashion statement but yet reds still get penalized.

Sorry for the rant, it is off topic.. but these are a few reasons I dont log on to my reg shard much anymore. As well as that after 12 years EA still hasn't addressed most pvp imbalances.

To PvP on test center you are pretty much relegated to Yew gate. How can I test out the new skills like Myst, if I cant move at yew gate because of the 10,000 Green crystals on the ground?

Sadly no one goes anywhere else to PvP on test.

You realize you only speak for yourself not the rest of the faction population. Soultion: Don't join a faction.

Wait what? Having multiple red healers at every gate isn't good enough for you?
Solution: Make friends, get a friend to res you.



Lots of work arounds for your complaints regarding "regular" shard pvp.
All of which, by the way, are in place and exist on test center as well. The only real difference is test gives you your skills and items instantly. SO perhaps the "instant gratification" is your only real issue.

Every single person in my guild of over 100 are in factions because they want to PvP.. well not completely true, there are probably 3 who also do it for the faction vendors.

OK. So then I have to get a friend to be ready to set up every single temp to PvP against.. Sure sure.. like that will ever happen. Think of all the armor and jewel modifications that would be required depending on the temp. Don't you already know this?

But at Yew gate you do run across every PvP temp.
