Blacksmith/Mining Question

I have just returned to UO on atlantic and have been slowly creating a crafter. Since i need money because i have none i was wondering will i make more if I use the ingots ive mined to raise Blacksmithing or if i just sell the ingots. With the dawn of imbuing it seems like BS stuff is gonna be worth like nothing now.

I still can't grasp where people keep getting that weird idea that crafting stuff will be worthless - runics still do produce stuff that is beyond the ability for imbuing to create (especially armor, since the exceptional bonuses get replaced, not added to, by imbuing), and it's better to craft an exceptional item to then imbue, than to work with items that are normal - especially for training imbuing. Not to mention the fact that you are almost certain to break inbued high-end items with enhancing, when superior items are possible with runic crafting with the special materials to start with.

You will get practically NOTHING for selling the ingots - the buy/sell ratios got messed up to stop an exploit where some people figured out how to buy from a vendor, then sell back to the same vendor for more than what was paid.

You're much better off using the ingots yourself to train. And, make note of the Blacksmith skill log for 100-120, in the subforum off this one, to use even less ingots.

SHHHHHH!! It's a secret... leave the crafting to the crafters! Some of us are making a fine living from it.
