Oct 09 PvP Smack Talk Thread - Enter at your own risk.

We're gonna try a monthly PvP thread to try and keep it a bit more manageable size-wise. If it doesn't work we'll go back to the old way.

Remember:

1. If you are in here, you better have a thick skin. If you can dish it out, you better learn to take it.

2. NO accusations of cheats, hacks, etc. (or "explanation" of same) will be allowed.

3. The RoC still applies, we're giving you some freedom but there are limits.


We will be monitoring this thread just like the old one, and problems will be dealt with. Consider this a warning.

so pvp is dead here mostly ehh i haven't played cats scene sx left. I went to the west coast i ping a bit better there 180 or so over here. But esf and nme couldn't dismount gank me after i figured out they both wanted me dead and would work together to make it happen lol.

PvP is occasionally good. I have a team of 5 or 6, and NmE actually comes out to fight us when they field 10.

They still go down pretty quick.

My guild is 2.0.

FWAP is pretty good, but they are kind of sallies because they wont fight you unless they have greater numbers.

I didnt run into any fwap or your guild that i saw but i was running around trying to get people split off so i can kill em 1vs1 only one did try to 1vs1 me he died some necro dexer so i didn't look at tags to often

We had a ton of fun w/ you all when it lasted!

Of course I knew it wouldn't last because of how a quite a few "higher up" members in the alliance viewed Gara & I. We put up w/ quite a bit of bs, made some friends willing & wanting to quit their guilds they've been in for a long time just to hold our tag, and had a blast fightning NmE who claimed to be superior pvpers (We won... ALOT too Not saying we always did, but we did win more than loss of the fights I was there for!).

Soon as things went sour & I left alliance (Gara pretty much decided to quit), of course they all said how I was a hacker/scammer, scumbag, needed to "get a job" (lol... I won't even comment there!). Personal information being passed out, address, cell phone #, name, work email etc. all that good stuff!

But oh well!

I'm still deciding if I should play again. I got Gara's accounts off of him when he quit, and got all my items back, along with his. He said he would never play again, but he texted me the other day looking to come back. Maybe I'll just give him all my stuff! Between work, my girlfriend (Or should I say kinda sorta Fiancee! I think I only told Flutter about it before this! It's a fun story haha...) I don't have time but to randomly check my bookmarks I did log in lately hoping a "friend" would return some of my non replica event items... Oh well. Stupid UO! NAY!

I heard a terrible rumor and I was hoping someone could clear it up for me. I heard NME tried to pull off a raid today and just got their faces pounded into the dirt. I also heard the GM had logged 4 or 5 chars and went stat on each one. Can someone please help me verify this mean nasty rumor?

I love the way you are trying to downplay the event. "We lol'd at the whole thing" if you weren't heated enough to smash computers you wouldn't have logged so many chars to get killed. I'm just sayin

Here are the details as they happened the evening of your unfortunate demise. It started out as three people a Super Dragon, a Dexy riding the bird and a Mage. One of your gimps rolled up and dropped like a three dollar... Then I assume that guy/girl went and got another char along with another member. They were a little more valued maybe closer to a five dollar fifty cent drop... At this time is when you called three or four more to join in on the death fest. We had a Dragon on the coon which never left the island. The dexy and the mage were dropping you like god only knows what. Only when your cell phone calls were a success and your friends came did we call the Cu guy. Your helpers didn’t change the way things played out because the people you contacted were of little to no value in the PvP scene.

I’m sorry I don't have any photos or I would post them. I could not find it in myself to photograph such a slaughter. Next time I guess I will have to take the photos.

Oh and dare you of all GM's to bash others for the type of template they use to play UO.

How did you get Map to show labels like that? When I reinstalled it on my new pc the only way I could get it to work was to uncheck all those boxes and install, and cancel out the performance calibration stuff, so I get no labels

p.s. a lot of people crop out taskbar for various reasons. Some of the commonly used SS programs (UOSU for example) even do it automatically...

p.s.s. I have been nothing but impressed so far by the teamwork I have seen your crew employ...very good crosshealers and stuff.

I didn't do anything special with the labels, just how it was set up from before.

I don't think we have killed you on that particular char (not sure who your others are). You have been pretty good at getting out of there when the second spell comes.

Well I only see you guys when it is at least 4 or 5 of ya...and I am usually running around by myself fighting outnumbered, so of course I am not going to stand there and let 5 expl-fs hit me at same time. That would be akin to

We only play as a group on catskills, parry mages aren't really 1 v 1 characters.

Here's a thought...maybe people have their toolbar set to auto hide. Personally, I don’t like to view the tool bar while I’m using my PC so I have it set to auto hide. I, like many others will not change my viewing to establish credibility with you.

Then I joined in on a night of several despises. Had a decent fight with 2.0, I actually had to switch to my red. A couple other random people showed up......... some hostiles and some friends. We got some scrolls out of the deal but little pvp. Anyways I don't want a cookie or anything, I just figured I would bump this thread.
