WTF is up with Weapon Damage in the Abyss?!?!?!?

I am knocking THOUSANDS of points off my axe a day in there. Now, of course it doesn't matter because I've made provisions to handle it. But, two rat spawns will knock 255 down to 60 or 70 points. It's not even similar to right. By not right, I mean its either a mistake or a freaking scam to drive us from the Abyss. At first, I carried 5 axes, but then I came up with a better idea.

Personally, I'm not leaving the Abyss til I'm done so I don't care what they put in there.

thats why weapons and even armor are not good to imbue for a melee ! unless you can afford to remake your items every day I mad a very nice bow and i lost 0ver 30 in just one fight ! pretty much imbue seems to work best for ranged attackers (except archery weapons) mages bards tamers all benifit from imbue with little expense past the initial making! others its way more costly! and its not just abyss its everywhere!

even without imbued items the damage weapons take is crazy ! guess we just have to live with it for now !

Just noticed the same problem on my sampire using momentum strike (in the Labrynth)... durability dropped fast, and this wasn't an imbued weapon.
