Escorting is ignoring half the world?

Since Magincia's Invasion scenario, the NPC's escorting system has been limiting the destinations choice to Jhelom, Serpent's Hold and Nujel'm.

We used to finds NPCs escorts that wanted to visit Cove, Trinsic, Skara Brae, Britain, Magincia, Moonglow and Vesper. Sure that escorts still may be found in most of those cities (but Magincia), but they're all sulking those same cities as their destination.

When will this be fixed since the dangers are gone in most of the cities but Magincia?
Is it intended or is it a broken code again?

Ideas anyone?

Could do with adding new destinations, too...
Give the NPCs a desire to go to specific cities on specific facets.
And have Seekers of Adventure want to go somewhere more dangerous than a city.

Totally agree with that!
The Seekers aint asking for dongeons anymore for a while now...

Escorts system hasn't evolved much since the beginning of UO. In fact, if it wasn't the obsolete "mercenaries" code that is now inactive and the ongoing 5 minutes timer.

T2A that was the first expansion to UO. In addition of a new facet, it added 2 cities (player friendly) to the game that weren't added to the escorting system... nothing more has been done ever since.

They used to want to go to dungeons, that's why they were Seekers of Adventures... I had forgotten all about that, that was a bug or change I never noticed.


As far as a fix? Probably when they end the ratmen/lizardmen spawn in Britain from the Pre-UO:R quest.

Arrrr, do escorts still spawn who ask simply to be taken to 'a town' or 'an inn'?

Another thing that isn't happening anymore... Nobleman and Noblewoman kept by orcs and brigands used to love those destinations...

MrMarcus, I have nothing to add regarding escorts in UO, I just wanted to say what a nice avatar you have!!! :thumbsup:

I did have one want to go to Cove about two weeks ago, so I think Cove might still be active... but yeah, honestly, I think most of mine in the past month have wanted to go to Jhelom almost exclusively. Must be something cool in the water there or something.

It's funny you brought this up because I found myself thinking about the exact same thing a little while ago. Cove is actually on the list though, I did a few earlier who wanted escorts to Cove.

Yes, Cove is one of them currently active.
