Parry help

My parry is moving very slowly. Even fighting harpies isn't going well. I have only added 3 points (it's 88 now) in the last week. Should I switch to a mace (I have swords) and add a shield to get it to move?

go to new haven sheep fields and attack a bunch of sheep, let them suround you so they can all hit you. once you have them hitting you, tab out so you dont kill them. since you are a swordsman, make sure equip a mace. if you have bushido, put on a shield. if you dont have bushido, dont wear a shield. this will allow them to hit you alot more, since your parry chance will be so low since you wont be using the right gear. just make sure someone is there to heal you because even though they only hit for like 1 hp, it adds up when there are 9 of em hittin you one after another. if you do this you can go from 88 to 100 in about 20 minutes or so, maybe longer, but i doubt it.

Grab about 1000 bandies and head for despise top floor. make sure you have no DCI items on and equip a weap you have no skill in and lockit, grab a sheild, target about 5-7 lizard men and away you go..I went from 60-110 in a matter of an hour or so. Plus great healing gains.

Basiclly go to Jhelom pits and disarm female npcs and let em hit ya you won't take any damage if they are disarmed and then like Cruxshadow said. Put on a shield if you have bushido.

And you should reach 120 in just a few hours

Thanks for all the help. It works great. I gained 5 points in like 30 min with a guildie healing me. Tonight we're going to bang it for an hour hehe.

New Haven Sheep fields, Virtue Armor set, bushido at 113,6, so with shield. Mace as i´m a swordman (120), attacked a lot of sheeps, than tabed out. I get decent damage and can heal it without problems.

Ok, now my problem. Standing there with 9 attacking sheeps for 30 min now and getting not a single gain. I´m at 96,3, cap at 120, skill is up (and yes, i tried setting down and up again), total at 720, but two skills set down. Other skills are rasing without problems.

I´m a bit out of ideas right now. The only gains i get are the ggs every two days within the normal fights but no more ...

Does vampire embrance make any difference? Or that i´m guilded?

Any ideas?

EDIT: OMG. I used a UBWS weapon ;-) With a simple dagger i´m gaining like hell. Sorry for my post.

Get a craftable, one-use soul stone and stone off bushido. Go back without a shield.

I've 120'd parry 4 times using this method. It takes about 6 hours from 40 to 120.

I just went from 111 to 115 in about 15 mins with sheep. For what it is worth, I seemed to gain better without a shield (120 bushido) and obviously I took less damage. I was able to stay fully healed without a shield just using confidence. I think this should work well all the way to 120 too, now I just need to find one for sale on my shard :(

go to despise (lizardmen) and allow them to gang up on you. carry a shield and a weapon you have no skill in (a mace like you said) you'll gain in no time

With bushido and above 90 parry, carry a two-handed weapon in a skill you have 0 weapon skill (i.e. a blackstaff when you are a swordsman). Tab out and you will gain on the sheep. Do not carry a shield at that level.

You actually gain with bushido and carrying a shield from about 50-85ish parry. Try different configurations with the sheep between carrying a weapon you have 0 skill in, a shield, no shield, etc. If you haven't gained in about 5 min, something is wrong.
