Depends on shard, but its my understanding that its 1mil to 3mil a pc. I have only gotten 5 so far from the mini ratspawn in the underworld and I know ppl who go there everyday for hours and get nothing... so, if it were up to me, I wouldnt be selling it at all or charging a lot more for it.

I have touted the greatness of this expansion from the uohalls to the halls of Origin. There is only one thing that bothers me about this expansion. Yes one. That is a fear that this game is going to go the way of "Second Life".

The amount of money you could spend or make in this new era of UO game play is phenomenal. I think that soon once again sites will be overloaded with gold for sale and people will spend RL money to play this game. Family guilds could legally farm imbuing ingredients and make a living at it. I am exaggerating I know but the point is that the overall cost of playing UO just went up. Perhaps this expansion is "working as intended". Just something to think about.

Well considering Second Life got the idea of cash for pixels from UO in the first place... 1999 there was a Wall Street Journal article about how UO Gold was trading higher than the Italian Lira, the Lira was 1 Mil to 22 US dollars and UO gold was selling for $25 per mil on any shard at the time. I remember seeing Atlantic Keeps and Towers for sale asking $600 - $900, don't know if any actually sold for that but I did see some Ebay for 3 & 4 hundred. In all that time I have spent a total of $36 cash on stuff other than to EA, I bought a Castle for 30 and spent 6 on a mil gold years ago when that 1 Mil got me a couple of power scrolls i was looking for as well as left me enough to by some deco items I'd been wanting.

UO has always had these issues, I wouldn't worry about it. Playing with nothing but UO gold is still easy to do.
