Mining and Arms Lore are very strength intensive and easy to train (use the "lore an item" ability of armslore).

Believe it or not, resisting spells trains str pretty quickly.

I'd have to say killing creatures with a melee skill is very fast at getting your str up.

Next to that, I'd say mining.

herding gets it up quite fast just set up last object last target macros ingame

Just one more thing to add, with the changes to soul stones, I've found the easiest way to train STR is to arms lore a weapon to 25.0. Then soulstone arms lore and clear it from the stone. Rinse and repeat.

That's a nice twist on the old See-Saw method.
