I let my Mage+Necro+Weaver claim the SA Unique Pet, the Vollem.

So far I am extremely happy with this choice

Yes, it is an instantly bonds promotional reward.

I can not help but think they may have been intended to be ... well possibly more for the PvP crowd and the PvM crowd as a .... side effect.

I used both of mine on my red pvp mage. They are not bad when trained up.

They are extremely slow though, so it's difficult to tow them around with you if you are on the move.

Yeah. I used both of mine on my main.. They aren't bad.

Since they do take up an EV slot (2), I put mine on my Necro-archer instead asa backup. Once trained up and I like, I may add a second one as well...
