It is so nice to see the lack of scripters and botters the last couple of weeks. The script program that cannot be named has not been fixed thanks to all the updates of late. Wish EA could keep it up

Is it just the updates keeping them away or have they some other anti-script agent at work? Either way it appears to be working.

I could weather an arbitrary patch every 2-3 days if that's what's needed, so long as they're not too big (save the gigabytes for the real updates).

It's only a matter of time till its patched. One of the non mentionable programs finally got patched yesterday from what I'm hearing, so I am sure the other will follow soon enough. =/

Indeed it is nice to have the major common scripts out of commision.
there are still a handful of them out there tho that are still plugging away. Ive still caught a few script miners and heartwooders around, they are rare tho because they have to know how to code and manually update thier mods. for the most part it is a great time for honest players

You haven't caught none. That type of program is gone for weeks all you being catching is recall miner with using macro recall mining techniique like me and heartwood using make all macros. They are innocent I asure you. This is what I mean by blind crusade. There is no program out there that can run these scripts at the moment. It's in your head. At this point it's just harrassment and witch hunts.

You know what the worst thing is. Many of the holier than thou script hunters are actually scripters themselves that want to kill the competition. It's hilarious. The others never heard of macros. Then theres the couple that actually know and respectful when they make a mistake though I never seen one of those myself but I heard through myth and legend that they exist somewhere.

I dont script and I know about what happens with patches, updates and all that stuff it doesn't take a rocket scientist or a CPU science major to figure it out. Just the need to find out what you could be up against in a PvP setting and staying current with said platforms. Knowing what your up against is helpful in a lot of situations.

Pretty much Syrus got what I said. The program is down there aint another one out there. Those that are being accused of scripting in all likely hood are innoncent. Those who accuse them will never say sorry and will continue to believe everyone who they think is scripting is a scripter evidence or not.

Next part of my argument Scripters would not like to be known as scripters so they become accusers. Who will ever suspect someone who accuses a person as a scripter at every turn even when all evidence is against them to actually be a major scripter themselves. It's genius but predictable.

Why would a scripter defend scripting if they themselves do not wish to be caught? It's the basics of trowing of people away from the scent and sending them elsewhere. They make it look like they are guilty of being overzeoulous but in reality they are completely on the other side of the spectrum.

Don't forget that if you craft in your house while hidden that you're automatically tagged a scripter also. Doesn't matter that the scripts aren't working, you're scripting anyway if you don't say hi.

O.K. I have obviously not been around much lately...this also means I have not been on UO in about 3 months I suppose? But I know with out a doubt that people who know how to program can get the scripting program to work, so if your logic is that "the script program is down" my counter logic is "i can get it back up in about 37 seconds of work" and I know there are more than just me out there who could do this, it does not take the designer of a program to fix something for other people to get it to work. I would agree it is not rampant because not all scripters were able to program (this is an assumption, I can not be privy to who all the scripters are and if they are a programmer or not) but to say it is logical to assume that NO scripters can program and get the already mentioned program to work, would not be a very logical statement. =\

Also what is with everyone trying to accuse everyone else of scripting? We can not have an intellectual debate on weather or not a program can or does work with out accusations of using said program?(not solely intended for Kaiser as I tend to like them and most of their posts.)

I can say as of now the scripters are at it again. I just renewed my subscription and upgraded to SA a few days ago. There is one guild that uses a script to steal insured (non blessed) items.

All I know is that the person added himself to party automatically (where I wasn't even in a party) As soon as I seen the text on my screen I disbanded the party. Taking that as an attempt I left the field. However my guild mate wasn't as lucky. He got stripped of his bow which was insured.

Seriously I don't see why I bother with this game. You would think the Devs would have done something about this years ago. Why make expansions when everyone knows there is rampant scripting and hacking?

What does scripting have to do exactly with exploiting bugs if that story even happened at all? I'm not saying it didn't but an auto party exploit bug is just unheard of right now.
9 out of 10 "insurance bug" drops happen when the person is broke and is too ashamed to admit it or simply forgets to insure after buying.

As far as scripters go, i'll do a little dance around a sombrero when i don't have to double click all 300 vendors in luna anymore. Barb kit prices have already tripled too. It's a shame for us who are light in the bankbox that enjoy doing other things besides hunting scripters and killing stuff.

Ok, I can't stay quiet any longer. I was in the same guild as ElRay but ended up quitting because I choose to play legit and I never accept files from anyone. ElRay said I needed to have the "latest" program and script so the game would run smoother; and he would need to send me the file. I said I never accept files from anyone and my game runs smooth enough playing legit. He got mad and started cussing at me so I said forget this, I don't need to be in a guild with punk kids like this so I quit.

I attempt to test them first, to save EVERYONE involved some time. If they are unresponsive or untestable AND there has been a recent publish or patch to UO, however, I WILL go to the website that cannot be named and check to see if it has been updated BEFORE I page.

I also go there whenever I have a question such as:

Is there such a thing as a script that collects bods? Sorts bods? Fills Bods? This was because I found 12 chars recalling into Delucia every hour on the hour inside Del tailor shop a year or so ago.

While idoc hunting I began to see alot of boats docked around the lands that carry cargo, are always locked, and always getting refreshed at the somewhat worn stage UNLESS there has been a patch or publish to UO, then they proceed to decay until the cheat website has been updated, after which they were refreshed.

Someone else also posted here that they also noticed many cargo boats had sprung up around the land AFTER the Devs burned some cheaters vendor houses a year or two ago. They posted that they had actually seen someone onboard one of these boats with a hammer flying over his head after the duped valorite hammer bannings last year. I had never ever seen anyone onboard any of the boats on Pac.

I think these boats make the game look ugly there's so many of them.

On Pac, one 'RP' guild's GM posted after the val hammer bannings last year: "What happened to my Britain fleet of boats? I own over 100 boats for RP purposes and the ones docked in Britain just vanished."

Well anyone caught with 30 or more valorite hammers had their accts and houses DELETED, it is reasonable to assume that that might be what happened to his Britain fleet, since those boats vanished around the same time that the Devs/GMs deleted cheaters stuff.

I myself have questioned this GM of the RP guild here on Stratics and he responded that the boats cargo is junk he was saving to unravel in SA.

So now I have heard 2 stories from him about why these boats exist. Of course, I have to wonder why, if his Brit fleet was deleted because it housed duped valorite hammers, why the rest of the fleet hadn't been deleted as well.

Even though he's told 2 different stories now I SUPPOSE that it is possible that both of his stories about why he needs over a hundred boats of cargo that he has kept refreshed for over a year and a half now MIGHT be true.


I still question why these boats always get refreshed at the somewhat worn stage UNLESS there has been a patch to UO. Seems they are refreshed using illegal means, so I am wondering why an RP guild would use illegal means to RP?

And now typing this I add a new thought. Perhaps he uses a script to refresh the boats of totally innocent cargo that he keeps for RP purposes and somehow the script got borked before it managed to refresh his Brit Fleet?

I went to the script website to check to see if a boat refreshing script even exists. I suppose it would have to recall off boat keys and then open the gangplank of each boat?

I couldn't find any script that seemed to do that to be honest.

Now it has been posted here that the gold selling websites most likely hire programmers to keep their scripts going despite UO patches so that they do not lose money.

I also realize that there are other stand alone cheat programs, one of which actually posted here a couple days ago and said something to the effect HAHA, the program is patched already, after that 1st or 2nd patch we had. That program's name starts with an R and I think it allows people to speedhack, not sure what else it does.

I notice the RP guild boats went past somewhat worn again during all these latest patches, but have since been refreshed.

I seriously may have to reconsider my thinking however, about these boats being involved in cheating, since I was not able to find a cheat program that would recall off a boat key and refresh a boat gangplank and since the boats got refreshed despite the cheat website being down.

I do suspect that the RP guild is connected to a huge gold seller, so maybe they employ a programmer, that is the one thing holding me back from taking this RP guild's GM off my list of suspected cheaters so far.

But yeah, keeping tabs on the cheat website is just an intelligent thing to do for people who page on suspected scripters.

Not this one which I speak about. First you need to know the closed source code for it which no one does. Then you need to know UO client inside out. Then you need to find a way to fix that program which you have the code for to work with UO new scheme. Which not even the second in charge of that program was able to modify. He needs the creater to get in there and do his stuff. Then if not using that you need to create a new one from scratch that uses the same varieble scrips that program would take lots of work.

The first thing anybody will do once creating such program is put up donations to take advantage of the people that can't get on using the traditional one which in turn net him alot of cash just for doantions then he can go into a charge method if he or she likes. There aint non out there so I must conclude there aint non at the moment. If you see one let me know and I will recant.

But so far this is the most logical thing. If you were able to make one right now wouldn't you have it out there on a website advertising it to get the massive donations from all the people that have non at the moment? Or will you just use it your self making nothing of it knowing that sooner or later the old program will be back up and you will lose the opportunity in buying a new car or at least paying all your bills for the month?

I doubt it. If this happen it would be a exploit of game mechanics and not a script at all.

Thats not the reason why the program is down. The creater is supposely sick and his second in charge doesn't have the ability to modify the code as needed because of some drastic change from SA.

Even though he's told 2 different stories now I SUPPOSE that it is possible that both of his stories about why he needs over a hundred boats of cargo that he has kept refreshed for over a year and a half now MIGHT be true.


I still question why these boats always get refreshed at the somewhat worn stage UNLESS there has been a patch to UO. Seems they are refreshed using illegal means, so I am wondering why an RP guild would use illegal means to RP?

And now typing this I add a new thought. Perhaps he uses a script to refresh the boats of totally innocent cargo that he keeps for RP purposes and somehow the script got borked before it managed to refresh his Brit Fleet?

I went to the script website to check to see if a boat refreshing script even exists. I suppose it would have to recall off boat keys and then open the gangplank of each boat?

I couldn't find any script that seemed to do that to be honest.

Now it has been posted here that the gold selling websites most likely hire programmers to keep their scripts going despite UO patches so that they do not lose money.

I also realize that there are other stand alone cheat programs, one of which actually posted here a couple days ago and said something to the effect HAHA, the program is patched already, after that 1st or 2nd patch we had. That program's name starts with an R and I think it allows people to speedhack, not sure what else it does.

I notice the RP guild boats went past somewhat worn again during all these latest patches, but have since been refreshed.

I seriously may have to reconsider my thinking however, about these boats being involved in cheating, since I was not able to find a cheat program that would recall off a boat key and refresh a boat gangplank and since the boats got refreshed despite the cheat website being down.

I do suspect that the RP guild is connected to a huge gold seller, so maybe they employ a programmer, that is the one thing holding me back from taking this RP guild's GM off my list of suspected cheaters so far.

But yeah, keeping tabs on the cheat website is just an intelligent thing to do for people who page on suspected scripters.

They might hire people to make scripts but the program itself is closed source. So the websites can't use the program at all. There script makers can make scripts hell most of us can that know anything about programming but using the program itself is beyond there means thats why there search is down they can't get the program up.

As for refreshing of boats well Im just going to what normal players do many players don't have homes in other shards so they use boats and refresh once before it decays. I have 2 boats full of mib in them and i refresh before it decays. Whenever I get the itch to go fishing for a week I place boats in each section that I can reach mib coordinates. When I divide my MIB I place them in each boat per location then I start fishing. When am done I leave them there for a while before ZI empty them out and let them decay or dock them.
Though they probably were used to hold stuff back in the bad days as well but like everything in UO multiple uses for different people.

I page on suspected scripters.

I attempt to test them first, to save EVERYONE involved some time. If they are unresponsive or untestable AND there has been a recent publish or patch to UO, however, I WILL go to the website that cannot be named and check to see if it has been updated BEFORE I page.

just like 2 hours ago im stting in my house traning imbuing and a guy walks bye trys to party me i didnt accept cause im lazy and didnt wont to chat so he stood there and paged gm finally came asked me hows the gaining i said to damn expesive and then said leave me alone and he left guy still stood there for like 30 more mins lol some ppl i dont even page on ppl i just mind my own business and do what i want

I've checked porn websites though am not paying for any of it though. Why don't you check to see if am right so that you can put your mind to ease. A GM actually responded to an unattended page? Do they really do this anymore? I'm calling shenanigans on your post until you provide picture evidence. I can't get a GM to get stuff that fell underneath my house while customizing and they go after a reported unattended macroer?

Loved those three different incidents I had to disassemble my home so I could get my crap back.

Just pick up a shovel a bit and go to a place with crusaders. If they actually say something to you just ignore them. Wait a bit and eventually gm will pass by. The crusaders each page like 100 times a day on everybody making the gms busy like hell never getting to your problem.
