Queen Mother Calls Her Supporters To Rally Around Queen Dawn
By WarderDragon
You hear a sound, three loud knocks upon your door. You stand from your reading chair, or perhaps you slip out from under the sheets, blinking back weariness, every muscle in your body demanding that you sit back down and ignore it. Its late. The days events have weighed heavily upon your mind. The Coronation of Her Majesty, Queen Dawn. The Assassination of Captain Commander Nystad. What now?
But you force yourself up and approach the door. You hear the hoof beats, the snort of a powerful beast, charging off into the night. By the time you reach the door and peer out into the moonlight, black stallion and shadow-clad rider have disappeared into the trees, around a hill, or perhaps into the city. How odd, you think to yourself. Who would wake you up at this hour, only to ride off before you had the chance to enter?
And then you see it. A ruby-hilted stilleto, buried deep in your door. A folded letter pinned there, stirred by the cold nights wind.
Against your better judgement, you pull the dagger free. A beautiful weapon, one not so readily discarded. You unfold the vellum envelope. You observe the flowing script, a calligraphers hand. And you, despite your weariness, read what is written within.
((Out Of Character: Greetings. Please note that the Lady Fahnzjell British, otherwise known as the Widow, is a player persona in no way directly related to the global storyline. She is a Baja fixture, part of several player-run storylines that involve the Independent Kingdoms and Operation Royal Flush. This was a way for the character, who had made the claim before Lady Dawn had returned, to relinquish her claim to the new Queen while still maintaining the integrity of her backstory. If you have any questions about this, please send me a private message and I will explain in more depth.))

Knights of the Royal Guard and Diplomats of the Independent Kingdoms,
I have been asked to deliver you a message.
Her Majesty, The Queen Mother Lady Fahnzjell, Dowager Queen of Britannia and High Seat of House British, has asked that all her loyal subjects and faithful followers offer their support and allegience to Her Grace, The Queen Stewardess Elect Lady Dawn the Brave, By the Grace of the Light, Defender of the People, Protector of the Realm.
Lady Fahnzjell has expressed no designs upon the Throne of Akalabeth. Only to retain her title and her ties to House British, which were established by right of her marriage to the True Sovereign, His Majesty Lord Cantabrigian British. The Queen Mother's only concern is for her people, and has expressed faith in Lady Dawn as a Defender of Justice and Keeper of the Principles. She will offer her council to Lady Dawn, should Her Grace wish it.
Those Royal Knights who have sworn oaths to defend the Throne of Akalabeth are asked to continue their sacred duty, and to protect she who currently sits on the throne.
Light Save The Queen,
Sir Nicholas Casval Tarrant,
Knight of the Royal Guard.
