Well, having a family now I don't have time for power gaming like I used to but I finished Imbuing at 10:03 EST on 9/18/2009! I was taking it more casually until EA changed up imbuing a bit and scared me into sacrificing my sleep to get this done before they changed it again. Dante was logged in so much his fame decayed enough to lose Lord! Oh well that is easy to get back in comparison. Here is the screenie for your viewing pleasure:

An open offer to anyone who hasn't worked up Artificing yet: I'll be happy to do any imbuing work for free, just provide the materials (or items to break down for frags/essence/etc).

To those of you who are done, what day did you complete it? I know several of you are 120 already, just curious to know how much longer it took me.

Have a great weekend all!

What did you imbue to 120 it? (intensity, etc)

For the most part I followed Petra's guide.

However, when I got to 115 I started getting much more granular. I would adjust the level of luck I used so that my percentage was always between 59.1 to 60.4% that is where I seemed to get the best gains. Also at 115 he suggested doing 13% RPD and 18% LRC. I stuck with 13% RPD and 11% LRC (until about 118.8 when I switched to 15% LRC) and I just added more luck. Adding more luck just used more gems but not more magical residue. The reason I did it this way was to save residue on the second imbued mod.

My method pretty much conserved residue as much as possible and the sacrifice was using more gems. All told I spent 5 million + on gems.

Congrats! I can't wait to get there. Tomorrow I have to wait for the satellite company to come hook up service, so between 12 and 5 tomorrow I hope to get some training done. At least something good will come from their vague appointment times.

I finished it some time either late friday night or saturday morning early. To be honest I spent so much time at the soulforge those days just kind of ran together haha

I was thinking you might have been one of the first few to have hit 120. Thanks again for the Soulforge!

Its harder than most skills period. I think I would put it between Ninja and Poisoning on my list.

It's only easy if you have an extra 4 mil to buy gems lying around and the patience to kill crap and take it back to your forge. The second part wasn't that hard for me because I'm busy messing around in the abyss I just grab the random crap from my kills and put it in a bag and take it back to the forge in my house which I got from Thom. Honestly, if it weren't for mysticism needing imbuing for spell trigger and rising collosus I wouldn't even bother. I'd just bother Thom to make all my imbuing needs. I'm currently at 73.1 right now and have spent at least 300k getting there from 40 and this is probably where it gets expensive.

Side Note: Why the heck can't I be this long winded while writing essays!

Scarst, don't forget that when you get close to gm and have to be doing more than one or two properties on an item then you can make the original item out of a runic hammer and that will save a good bit on your costs for training.

Because in school they force people to write and learn about crap that isn't interesting to them.

Grats Podo!!
I have to admit I have not had an interest in Imbuing, or the new dungeon.I have been to the Gargoyle city courtesy of a rune from Phaen, but other then the housing stuff, there is little of interest for me in the expansion.

Now the housing stuff is really nice. And I seem to have a chicken lizard living on my porch. I could not bring myself to kill them for an egg, so I just have a tamed one.
