  • Adjusted the Flight Paths in SA over the Lava tiles
  • Added exit teleporters to the Color Maze – to use say “exit” to the brass sign
  • Fixed an issue with some of the minor Artifacts being were imbuable
  • Fixed an issue with players falling off the sides of bridges in SA
  • Writeable books , runes, spellbooks and runebooks will no longer be sent to the Cavern of Discarded
  • Player will no longer receive the option to use a Silver Sapling rez in either boss mob instance encounter
  • Removed loyality from acid slugs due to the fact they instant respawn
  • Added functionality to the cannons in the front of the Underworld
  • Fixed an issue with the Color Gem and players being disconnected
  • Reduced transparent area to fit the size of the golden compass gump
  • Adjusted the amount of Magical Residue vs cost of imbuing
  • Added random Mysticism scrolls to the SA dungeon Mobs
  • Adjusted Tyballs hps and the manner in which players get the key. Everyone in the area will now get keys if needed.
  • Added SA entitlements to SA artifacts (Demon Bridle Ring and Token of Holy Favor)
  • Fixed the issue with the Lich Artifact not dropping correctly
  • Adjusted the stamina for gargoyles flying
  • Templated Gargoyles can no longer be created with 0 skill points
  • Players can no longer recall out of the champ spawn areas
  • Ghosts can now be exorcised from the two new champ spawn areas
  • Clippers should now cut all plants included those labeled “a decorative plant”

What do they mean by adjusting residue for the cost of imbuing? More detail on that would be great. :)

I assume this will allow for 7th and 8th circle mystic scroll drops. These gonna be on bosses only?

Does that mean lowering? Please god don't raise it. I've gone through a couple thousand and I'm not even at 80 yet.

So when is this supposed to happen? I just tried to patch and there's nothing there, or is this all stuff that we won't have a patch for?

I'm not sure about that... they also listed 2 client fixes so I'm guessing there will be some patch that accompanies the publish. Perhaps it was the 7.0.0.2 patch that went out yesterday.

I think the changes already went into effect. Imbuing just got a lot more expensive to train. Can no longer unravel oak bows for residue...

No surprise there. I got on Origin and didn't notice any difference at all in the residue cost. Anyone else know what that line means?

Hmmm...............
Shouldn't the Loyalty be ALSO removed from those who got it off acid slugs more easily ?

I mean, letting first comers keep their loyalty does it not disadvantage those players trying to get it after the change ?

I dunno. They can't make this skill any harder/more boring to train. This past week of working Imbuing has made me realize all that I hate about UO.

The skill is useless at low levels so you grind out a boring boring boring process until you get to a level you can actually use the skill to try imbuing weapons you can actually use.

Making a DI 40% Lightning 30% weapon isn't going to do any of my characters any good... All Imbuing skill under GM is about worthless.

Nothing like slugging away for 20-30hrs like a robot. I can do that at my job and get paid to do so instead of paying EA.

All my friends that have quit this game are looking like the smart ones right now......

Or it would have been fairer if Origin would have gotten SA by the same time earlier, that we got this patch earlier than the rest of the shards.

Imbuing is absolutely horrific to train, yes. I've considered drilling into my skull while training it. Feels like I'm doing it anyway.

Or it would have been fairer if Origin would have gotten SA by the same time earlier, that we got this patch earlier than the rest of the shards.
if this is true I would sure like to know who is the one giving them the info that made them decide this ! they need there head examined

this kinda sucks cause my crafter with 0 magery has been using these with some +magery jewelery and blade spirit scrolls to get loyality :(

this concerns me, hope they didnt make things more expensive

not true, i just did got 1 residue back from 1 oak exceptional bow.

before i think i got 2? maybe they decreased it?


edit i got what they did. you can ibue all the way up to 7% lrc now with only 1 residue :)

instead it was 3?

I absolutely despise imbueing. Where are all the complainers about the amount of god damn clicks? Seriously this is rediculous on the amount of clicks. Why cant they set it so it remember the last imbue u did and so fourth. I cant wait till i get higher and have to click 50 damn times to add luck to something what a joke.

If i imbue something with rpd lrc and luck if i click to imbue the next item with rpd why cant it go right to my old number?

I'm glad they made this harder though its not time consuming as it is now.

While I don't think that the default UI for Imbuing is terribly friendly, there's a UOA macro in the Crafter's forum that will imbue items with a single keypress. With a little modification, it can be made to imbue the same item up to 10 times and then unravel it, all with a single keypress.

I despise it too and I am only at 46. I started at 40 and it is hard to find things to unravel. Even most of the things in a level 1 chest said I didnt have enough embuing skill. I cant even imagine why they would reduce the resources from unravelling if that is what they did. I wish Chrissay would clarify what exactly they did and why.

A better change would have been to add the ability to at least lock in that dam %!! This menu doesnt seem to be designed with training in mind. :(

Was it a big advantage in the first place? I killed an acid slug and got 1 loyalty point, Thats alotta slugs to kill to place a house etc.

Wither spam shot your reputation up FAST, and that's how a good number of people got the points to place so fast.

Was it a big advantage in the first place? I killed an acid slug and got 1 loyalty point, Thats alotta slugs to kill to place a house etc.
If you start a garg with 2000 points you can get up to 10k points killing slugs in 4 hrs. It's not hard.

You can get it in 5 or 6 killing toxic sliths. I don't think slugs were that huge an advantage.

Can this be confirmed that it is now even HARDER to train imbue?

You can get it in 5 or 6 killing toxic sliths. I don't think slugs were that huge an advantage.
thats how i did it mainly and did the quests at same time

i cant believe the make imuing MORE expensive..
its not bad enough our crafters have to fight monsters to gather high end ingrediants.. and then unravel expensive artifacts to get relics.. but now to gain skill we cant use cheap items??

It is ridiculous...if I didn't have work tomorrow and a little one to take care of I'd spend the whole night unraveling oak...

It would seem that the patch did little to help make the game better but did make it harder for people. I am not sure what the people in charge were thinking but instead of helping people who play strictly crafters they made it more difficult to do things. Needing a relic fragment for low levels of imbuing is just WRONG.!! All the quests need you to be able to kill things, that most crafters cannot kill, some are difficult for full PVM/PVP templates to do. I though imbuing was this great skill to help level things out. But now it is moving away from that. Increasing the hit points for the keys will not stop camping but will make it harder for lower skilled players to do it. Nothing about the handling of this is making alot of sense game or business wise

The new expansion was good, but I admit the imbuing change seems to be a bad move. The expansion in general was still the best in years.

Why don't you name a few things you like? Maybe the dev team can kill those in the next few patches.

Its nice to have a new dungeon and new quest/things to do but....

1 - Quest to get into Abyss/Underworld was borked. Didn't anyone see that robe camping comming?
2 - Imbuing... Most boring skill of ALL TIME to train. Its even worse than poisoning.
3 - Soul forges craftable at 75 but needing an ingredient that requires 95 to unravel. DUH.
4 - Iron Beetles that are tameable but with essentially no purpose as they require taming to own. Oops. What intern went back to school and didn't finish that job?
5 - Not all mysticism scrolls drop from monsters. Oops. Was that the same intern?
6 - Gargoyle only weapons? WTF? Why not Elf only and human only too?
7 - Item durability loss upped so high you can't complete a single spawn without needing repairs on your blade. Thats really fun devs. As much as I like crafting - you are making the game ALL about the weapons/repairs/imbuing/armor.
8 - 10k loyalty for a crafter with imbue to use the queen soulforge? Really? Thats one hell of alot of 15pt quests. Don't tell me to turn my crafter into a fighter.
9 - No moongate to the new lands? Awesome. I'm sure any new players making gargoyles loved being stranded in Tel Mur for a day.
10 - Don't forget shard crashes when completing a certain quest and all the items that were lost the first day.

etc....

I agree its been nice to have an expansion - but its been pretty darn frustrating and the first patch out since is not inspiring confidence.

Back to mind numbing imbuing training before they make it even worse.
