A quick note and a summary!
Wednesday, September 16, 2009
By EMSeppo

Just to give everyone a heads up: In the coming weeks, we are looking at doing few simple yet (hopefully) fun events in Stygian Abyss to celebrate its launch.

Also, I would like to apologize in advance for any mix up at these events as the landmass and everything else that goes with it is extremely new for us as well!

Also, a brief summary for those who have not been able to attend the concluding events of War Of Shadows arc follows,

1) There was a massive battle in Britain Felucca between supporters of Platinum dragons on one side and Crimson Dragons and Shadowlord faction members on the other. Despite a heartfelt campaign by the few followers of SL, the Crimson dragons were defeated. As a penalty, the SL faction will suffer the loss of access to the secret room in their faction base.

2) The very next day, Lady Dawn led players against the Shadowlords beneath the Demon Temple on Fire Island where the three Shadowlords were vanquished after battling through dozens of manifestations. Lady Dawn recovered a ruby gem capable of harnessing the power of the sun itself – the very item that was being employed by the Shadowlords in their attempts to recreate the Gem of Immortality.

3) Lady Dawn confronted Lord Casca at a meeting called by Casca. He was given a chance to surrender but he chose to capture Dawn and the ruby she possessed. In the ensuing fight, Dawn destroyed the ruby which surprisingly caused Lord Casca’s death on the spot. Alas, the ever so loyal Bartalbe, Lord Casca’s popular dog, passed away few days after from the loss of his master.

Thank you for the info as to what took place while we were away getting our daughter moved. I would have loved attending the battles but real life takes precedence. I've asked a few people if this storyline was over but wasn't able to get a definite answer. Is there a post somewhere that explains what the strange relationship was between Casca and Trubo? I'll check the Golden Brew Tavern site, in the meantime, to read up on everything I missed. Once again, thank you!

Yes and No.

While certain aspects of the storyline have come to their definate conclusion (The Shadowlords & Lord Casca have been squished), there are many new aspects of the storyline that will soon open up.

Dawn is to become the Queen of Britannia, effectively replacing Lord Casca (She is easier on the eyes). There will be decisions as to how this new regime will operate. Will this new monarch, for instance, allow the independents to reign in peace, or shall she try to force them into the fold? There is a power vaccum right now, so we'll likely see individuals all over scrambling for their piece of the pie (Mm, pie). Casca's supporters, such as Gideon and Trubo, will have to be hunted down and put to the question. So I anticipate the next few weeks will be very interesting.

As far as Trubo Saius, that is an unfinished storyline that Seppo implied would continue. Trubo escaped in the last days of Casca's reign, and now it will fall to us to hunt him down. Who exactly he was is still a mystery.

Thank you! That was a great summary as to what has been and what is yet to come. I'm looking forward to all of it and will continue watching the forums so I can mark my calendar.

How about taking out the portal in the SL base that takes them to the PvP area which only SL faction members can use?

That never ever made any sense to me. It's like giving them a free exit.

Hello Folks,

Killing off Bartalbe was a sick, twisted action! Leaving corpses to lie on the streets of Britain, even within Blackthorne's Castle is also utterly improper.

It is bad enough that EAMythic consistently tramples upon its players. Surely we don't need similar treatment from our EM's.

I can only hope that Seppo and Pallando will "consider their sins," and give us MUCH better than this in the future.

Disdainfully Disappointed,

Elladan
