Role Play anyone?

Hello, My name is Starr and I am an addict. I played UO almost nonstop from 1997 until 2005. When I quit playing I had 8 accounts and 7 houses. Brittania would call to me on occasion though... When real life would get stressful or I would remember some awesome role play game time... I ignored the call for years but lately it has been very strong (and I didn't even know about the expansion). I finally heeded the call and have been back in Brittania since Sunday 09/13/09 but... there are no people and so much has changed... and there are no people...

Are they any true roleplayers left out there?

There are plenty of role players on our shard with some amazing story lines. Though at the moment many of them may be caught up in the new lands. I am not qualified enough to speak on the current happenings but I know others will pipe in. Look for the player run towns and you will often find a friendly conversation.

There's still plenty of roleplaying that goes on within catskills, and we're one of the more active shards for roleplay aside from Europa.
You have PGoH (Purple Guardians of HONOR), headed by Emperor Thom and Empress Piper, who have the town of Olympus in the place it's been since forever, across the bay north of Trinsic and next to the Fens of the Dead, in Trammel. [ http://www.thehonorempire.org/forums/index.php?showforum=46 ]
You have UP (United Pirates), headed by Captain Hawkeye Pike and Aneirin, who reside down at the small strip of beach Southwest of the Honor shrine in Trammel. [ http://www.aschulze.net/ultima/pirates/ ]
The following guilds mostly use shared forums at http://catskills-rp-portal.proboards.com/ .
There's V^A (Village of Aegis) headed by Aedon Durreah, located just SE of the Yew moongate, Trammel...
And their neighbors, H-S (House of Silverwood), led by Beleg Megil, just to the East of Aegis.
There's also |R| (House of Redemption), led by Va'lis Razele, and I believe they are in the process of relocating to outside of the Royal City in Ter Mur.
To round out the collection, there are a few other guilds whom I don't know their exact locations offhand.
RoH (Rangers of the Heart) led by Alyssia Kanath and Faris Solic, and they run the Que's Tavern outside of Skara Brae
Sol (Soldats) led by Clive Dauthi [based in Tokuno, I think]
S^S (Solantavo Syndicate) led by Azrael and Zendra, with the city of Istas based in Malas
Rose (Freehold of Roses) led by Sage/Phaen Grey, which is also based in Malas
