There's also the 10 Random Gypsy Camp spawns in Ilshenar.
THESE are important. Why?
Because they have things you want.
Typically there are 3 to 5 of these active at any given time. They consist of:
1 Wagon (if you see more than one, or none, it's one of the permanent sites, that you don't want)
1 large bonfire
1 Tent (again, more than one, or none, you're at the wrong spot).
The Wagon should run from the 9 o'clock to 11 o'clock position from the fire.
The Tent should be at the 12 o'clock (North)
Sometimes (as in, randomly, can change from visit to visit to that spawn location) there will be a forge and anvil to the sotuh (6 o'clock) of the fire.
FIVE types of NPCs can spawn there; only the first TWO are guaranteed to be at all of them (if one or both of them is missing, it's because the structures can spawn a few minutes before the NPCs start spawning, but they ALL despawn as a unit, with the wagon & tent)
- The Gypsy Banker: Self-explanitory
- The Gypsy Fortune Teller: Healer/Mage NPC
- The Iron Worker: Smith NPC, gives BODs, and sells Ingots.
- The Vagabond: Tinker/Carpenter NPC, SELLS GEMS, Ingots and Boards.
- The Gypsy Maiden: Provisoner NPC, sells arrows & bolts, among other items.
When a camp spawns anew, the prices are ALL AT BASE MINIMUM. That means that -
- Ingots will be at 8 GP per for the first 1000 each, for both Iron Worker & Vagabond,
- Boards will be 3 GP per for the first 1000,
- Arrows will be at (IIRC) 3 each, and bolts at 5 each
- Most importantly for Stygian Abyss, ALL THE GEMS FROM THE VAGABOND will be at base price for the first 1000.
Now, as it appears most of the Jeweler NPCs got reset with SA's release, this won't be an immedate issue, but there will come a time, within a week or two, where gems will end up being 20, 30, 50 or more GP each higher than their base price. Rather than paying those prices, it will be time to go look for the random Gypsy camps, and hope you are the first person to start buying there for the camp's visit.
Typically, the camps spawn and despawn 1-3 times a day, at the different locations.
The Locations can be found using the Stratics Atlas.
